Gary Anderson (born 22 December 1970) is a Scottish professional darts player, currently playing in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He is a former BDO and WDF world number one, and a two-time PDC World Champion, having won the title in 2015 and 2016. His nickname is "The Flying Scotsman", after a famous Scottish steam train. 2015 Premier League Darts
The 2015 Betway Premier League Darts was a darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation; the eleventh edition of the tournament. The event began at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on 4 February, and ended at The O2 Arena, London on 21 May. The tournament was shown live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland. This was the second year that the tournament was sponsored by Betway. Raymond van Barneveld was the defending champion, but he lost to Michael van Gerwen 10–8 in the semi-finals. Gary Anderson won his second Premier League Darts title by beating van Gerwen 11–7 in the final. 2010 PDC Pro Tour
The 2010 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They were Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and UK Open Qualifiers. This year there were 45 PDC Pro Tour events – 37 Players Championships and 8 UK Open Qualifiers. Prize money Prize money for each Players Championship (excluding Australia and Canada) and UK Open Qualifier increased from £29,600 in 2009 to £31,200 in 2010. Prize money for Australian and Canadian Players Championships remained unchanged at £21,600 per event. In addition, £400 per Pro Tour event was reserved for a nine-dart finish. Barnsley () is a market town in South Yorkshire, England. As the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley and the fourth largest settlement in South Yorkshire. 2014 German Darts Championship
The 2014 German Darts Championship was the first of eight PDC European Tour events on the 2014 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Halle 39 in Hildesheim, Germany, between 31 January–2 February 2014. It featured a field of 48 players and £100,000 in prize money, with £20,000 going to the winner. Gary Anderson won his first and last European Tour event by defeating Justin Pipe 6–5 in the final. 2019 PDC World Cup Of Darts
The 2019 BetVictor World Cup of Darts was the ninth edition of the PDC World Cup of Darts. It took place from 6–9 June 2019 at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany. The Dutch pairing of Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld were the reigning champions, after beating the Scottish duo Peter Wright and Gary Anderson 3–1 in the 2018 final. Although Van Gerwen was able to defend his title, Jermaine Wattimena was selected ahead of Van Barneveld for the Netherlands. However, they lost 2–1 to the Republic of Ireland in the semi-finals. The 2018 Paddy Power Champions League of Darts was the 3rd annual staging of the tournament, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. It took place from 22–23 September 2018 at the Brighton Centre, Brighton. The defending champion Mensur Suljović lost 4–11 against Gary Anderson in the semi-final; a rematch of the 2017 final. The 2018 bwin Grand Slam of Darts was the twelfth staging of the tournament, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation.
