Gan Ee Kiang
Dato' Gan Ee Kiang (born 23 June 1944) is a Malaysian pharmacologist. He is Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Science, Malaysia, and currently holds the honorary office of Chancellor of the International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur. He joined the University of Science in 1977 and was Dean of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences from 1979 to 1995. He has also served as an adviser to the World Health Organization. From 1999 to 2013 he was Managing Director of the USAINS Group, the commercial arm of the University of Science. He is a member of the Board of Directors of several companies. He earned a PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Western Australia in 1972 under the supervision of Mary Fauriel Lockett, the first female professor in Australia. Malay Styles And Titles
The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and several Provinces of Indonesia, provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. Bukit Mertajam
Bukit Mertajam ( Jawi:بوكيت مرتاجم) is the administrative centre of the city of Seberang Perai in Penang, Malaysia. It also serves as the seat of the Central Seberang Perai District. , Bukit Mertajam (core) contains a total of 13,097 residents. Whilst founded in the 19th century as an agricultural area, Bukit Mertajam also evolved into a transportation hub, following the completion of a railway line towards Perai at the end of the century. To this day, its railway station remains a major Malayan Railway station within Seberang Perai. Bukit Mertajam is also well known for its Catholic congregation, which is centred at the St. Anne's Church. Universiti Sains Malaysia ( 'Science University of Malaysia'; abbreviated as USM) is a public research university in Malaysia. International Medical University
The International Medical University (IMU) is a private, English language, health sciences university in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
