Galmoy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Galmoy, County Kilkenny, Ireland. The club is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. History Located in the village of Galmoy, on the Laois- Kilkenny border, Galmoy GAA Club was founded in December 1929. The club has spent most of its existence operating in the junior grade, winning three Kilkenny JHC titles and 13 divisional titles. A brief period in the Kilkenny SHC saw the club lose to James Stephens in the 1975 final. Galmoy defeated Oran to become the first Kilkenny winners of the All-Ireland Junior Club Championship in 2005. Oran Hurling (Uarain) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the parishes of Oran in mid County Roscommon, Ireland. They play in Green and Yellow colours and their home pitch is Rockfield. The club fields underage teams from U-12 to U-21 as well as Senior and Junior teams. In 2016 they won the county final when poc fada star Jerry Fallon put over a free from his own 45m line against a gale-force wind. 2022 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship
The 2022 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the fourth staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 58th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. The championship began on 2 April 2022 and ended on 22 May 2022. Cork entered the championship as defending champions in search of a third successive title, however, they were beaten by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. The final was played on 22 May 2022 at Semple Stadium in Thurles, between Kilkenny and Limerick, in what was their first meeting in a final in five years. Kilkenny won the match by 0-19 to 0-18 to claim their 12th championship title overall and a first title since 2008. Kilkenny's Billy Drennan was the championship's top scorer with 1-40. Billy Drennan
Billy Drennan (born 28 November 2003) is an Irish hurler. At club level he plays with Galmoy and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. Career Drennan first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Galmoy club, while also playing as a schoolboy with CBS Kilkenny in the Leinster Colleges' Championship. He has also lined out with Maynooth University in the Fitzgibbon Cup. Drennan first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Kilkenny minor hurling team that lost the 2019 All-Ireland minor final to Galway. He was the championship's top scorer with 2-66. Brennan was again part of the minor team that lost the 2020 All-Ireland minor final to Galway. He immediately progressed to the under-20 team and was man of the match when Kilkenny beat Limerick in the 2022 All-Ireland under-20 final. The 2004–05 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship was the second staging of the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2002. The All-Ireland final was played on 28 March 2005 at Croke Park in Dublin, between Galmoy from Kilkenny and Oran from Roscommon, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. The 1975 Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship was the 81st staging of the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Kilkenny County Board. James Stephens is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Kilkenny, Ireland. The club was founded in 1887 and has enjoyed equal success in both hurling and Gaelic football.
