Marcelo Daniel Gallardo (; born 18 January 1976) is an Argentine football coach and former professional player who last managed River Plate. Gallardo began his career in the club's youth divisions, and made his debut in the Argentine Primera División at age 17 in 1993. After a six-year period in which he won five local league championships, the 1996 Copa Libertadores and the 1997 Supercopa Libertadores, he transferred to France's Ligue 1 AS Monaco FC and was named French League Footballer of the Year in 2000. Gallardo represented Argentina in two FIFA World Cups, although his performance was affected by injuries in both. During his playing career, Gallardo was an attacking midfielder and playmaker. Yovani Gallardo (pronounced gah-YAR-doh; born February 27, 1986) is a Mexican former professional baseball pitcher. He was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the second round of the 2004 Major League Baseball draft out of Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers, Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, and Cincinnati Reds. Gallardo was an All-Star in 2010, and won the Silver Slugger Award for pitchers that year. Career Gallardo attended Green B. Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (born January 8, 1946), commonly referred to by his aliases ''El Jefe de Jefes'' ("The Boss of Bosses") and ''El Padrino'' ("The Godfather"), is a convicted Mexican drug lord Kingpin. He was one of the founders of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1970s. Throughout the 1980s, the cartel controlled much of the drug trafficking in Mexico and the corridors along the Mexico–United States border. Gervasio Gallardo (born 5 June 1934) is a Spanish artist and illustrator. He has produced numerous of surreal paintings and book covers, for many science-fiction and fantasy authors. Biography Born at Barcelona, Gallardo studied in Spain, working for several Spanish advertising agencies, before moving to Munich, Germany in 1959. The next four years he spent working for the Delpire Agency in Paris, before travelling to the United States in 1963. Here he met Frank and Jeff Lavaty, who represent his work to this day. In 1969, he was commissioned by Ballantine Books to create cover art for their Ballantine Adult Fantasy series. Gloria Graciela Gallardo (October 16, 1938 - February 14, 2012) was a Chicana activist and former religious sister. She is best known for her involvement in the 1970 student boycotts in Houston, coordinating the huelga schools and for co-founding Las Hermanas. Biography Gallardo was born in San Antonio. She became a member of the Sisters of the Holy Ghost. After taking vows, Gallardo began to work what was considered a "rough" part of town, Alazán-Apache Courts in San Antonio. Almudena Gallardo Vicente (born March 26, 1979 in Madrid) is a Spanish archer who competed in the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics.
