Moita () is a municipality in the district of Setúbal in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 66,029, in an area of 55.26 km2. The municipality is part of the Greater Lisbon Area, with a demographic rate of 1.194,9/km2 in 2011, growing from 533,2/km2 in 1960. As part of Lisbon's suburban area, the population is mostly working age and senior individuals. The aging indicator (1 senior per 100 youngsters) is 106,9. Sarilhos Pequenos
Sarilhos Pequenos is town on the south margin of the Tagus River, near Lisbon, Portugal. Once a civil parish in the municipality of Moita, in the district of Setúbal, it merged in 2013 into the new parish of Gaio-Rosário e Sarilhos Pequenos. With an area of approximately , the population of Sarilhos Pequenos was 1150 in 2011 (census data). History Sarilhos Pequenos has been known historically as land of fishermen and fish-salters; until the 1960s-1970s, and for decades beforehand, 90% of its population was supported by the fishery from the ravines and rivers of the region. Its name is derived from the conversion process used in transforming the saltwater into salt, using a wooden device or ''sarilho'' that would permit the entry of water into the salt-flats. The water would be contained in compartments protected by one metre (3.3 ft) walls (or ''margateiras''), where evaporation would take place, and finally salt could be collected. The ''Diário da República'' (DR) is the official gazette of Portugal. Between 1869 and 1976, it was called the ''Diário do Governo''. It is published by the National Printing House and comprises two series. Laws, decree-laws, decisions by the Constitutional Court and other relevant texts are published in the I Series. Regulations, public contracts, etc. are published in the II Series. As in many countries, legislative texts are only binding after publication (article 119 of the Portuguese Constitution).
