Gabrielle Daleman
Gabrielle Daleman (born January 13, 1998) is a Canadian figure skater. She is a 2018 Olympic gold medalist in the team event, the 2017 World bronze medalist, 2017 Four Continents silver medalist, 2014 CS Autumn Classic champion, and two-time Canadian national champion. She represented Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Personal life Gabrielle Daleman was born January 13, 1998, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Rhonda and Michael Daleman. She has a younger brother, Zack, who is also a competitive figure skater. She lives in Newmarket, Ontario and attended Pickering College. Her father has taught at the same school. Daleman has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and a learning disability affecting her ability to read and write. ISU World Team Trophy In Figure Skating
The ISU World Team Trophy in Figure Skating is a figure skating team competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union. The World Team Trophy was held for the first time in Tokyo, Japan from April 16 to 19, 2009. Traditionally, the competitive skating season had concluded with the World Championships. The new event was announced at a news conference during the 2008 World Championships, in the hope of encouraging countries to develop top figure skaters in all disciplines. Each country sends two men, two ladies, one pair and one ice dancing entry. 2017 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships
The 2017 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2016–17 figure skating season. It was held at the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangneung, South Korea on February 16–19. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The competition served as the figure skating test event for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Four Continents Figure Skating Championships
The Four Continents Figure Skating Championships (4CC) is an annual figure skating competition. The International Skating Union established it in 1999 to provide skaters representing non-African and non-European countries with a similar competition to the much older European Figure Skating Championships. The event's name refers to North America and South America are both the Americas, Asia and Oceania (four of the continents represented in the Olympic rings, omitting Africa and Europe). Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. Historically, the 4CC has been dominated by just four countries – Canada, China, Japan, and the United States – which have won a combined 267 out of 276 possible medals. 2017 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2017 World Figure Skating Championships were held 29 March – 2 April 2017 in Helsinki, Finland. The host was named in June 2014. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. The event also determined the number of entries for each country at the 2018 World Championships and the 2018 Winter Olympics. Venues Hartwall Arena's main arena, with an ice surface measuring 60 m x 30 m, was used for all competitions and several practice sessions. The rest of the practice sessions took place at Hartwall Arena's practice rink (58 m x 28 m) and Pirkkola ice rink (for pairs, 60 m x 30 m). The World Figure Skating Championships (''"Worlds"'') is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the categories of single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) uses icons, flags and symbols to elevate the Olympic Games. Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. The 2019 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Saitama, Japan, from March 18–24, 2019.
