Gabriel P. Disosway
General Gabriel Poillon Disosway (DIS-os-way; June 11, 1910 – February 23, 2001) was a noted United States Air Force four-star general and served as commander of the Tactical Air Command. Background A native of Pomona, California, Disosway was born on June 11, 1910, to Wilbur Fotheringham Disosway and Elizabeth Forrest. Disosway is the namesake of his great-grandfather Gabriel Poillon Disosway (1798–1868) of Staten Island, New York, one of the founders of Randolph Macon College and one of the earliest leaders on Staten Island of the newly forming Methodist Church. Ephrata Municipal Airport is a public use airport located southeast of the central business district of Ephrata, a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. Bryan Air Force Base is a former United States Air Force base in unincorporated Brazos County, Texas, located just west of Bryan. Today, the location houses The Texas A&M University System RELLIS Campus. Bryan Air Force Base was originally activated in 1943 as a U.S. Army Air Forces installation known as Bryan Army Air Field. Joseph Jefferson Jackson (July 16, 1887 – December 5, 1951), nicknamed "Shoeless Joe", was an American outfielder who played Major League Baseball (MLB) in the early 1900s. Kelly Field (formerly Kelly Air Force Base) is a Joint-Use facility located in San Antonio, Texas. It was originally named after George E. M. Kelly, the first member of the U.S. military killed in the crash of an airplane he was piloting. Randolph Air Force Base was an United States Air Force base located at Universal City, Texas ( east-northeast of Downtown San Antonio). Opened in 1931, Randolph has been a flying training facility for the United States Army Air Corps, the United States Army Air Forces, and the Air Force during its entire existence. On 1 October 2010, Randolph AFB merged with Lackland Air Force Base and the US Army's Fort Sam Houston to form Joint Base San Antonio.
