Prior to that, she served as the first female president of the University of Toledo, selected to the post on March 12, 2015. Before serving as president of The University of Toledo, she was the provost and the Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs at the University of Arkansas from May 1, 2009, to 2015. On April 28, 2020, Gaber was announced as the fifth chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mihály Gáber
Mihály Gáber ( sl, Miháo Gaber; – September 13, 1815) was a Slovene Roman Catholic priest, a writer, and the best friend of Miklós Küzmics. Küzmics standardized Prekmurje Slovene with Gáber's help. Gáber was born in Dolnji Slaveči and became friends with Küzmics in his childhood. He was ordained a priest in 1777 in Szombathely. In September and December that year he served as an administrator in Pertoča, and in 1778 and 1779 he was a curate in Gornji Petrovci. He served as the parish priest of Martjanci until his death. Gáber assisted Küzmics's literary efforts. Küzmics wrote the first Catholic books in the Prekmurje dialect and tried to use less foreign (primarily Kajkavian) words. Through Gáber, many elements from the dialect used in the Parish of Martjanci were transferred to the standard language. Karam Ibrahim Gaber ( ar, كرم إبراهيم جابر, born 1 September 1979 in Alexandria) is an Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the Men's Greco-Roman 96 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships. At the 2012 London Olympics, he won a silver medal. He was suspended by United World Wrestling for two years in August 2015, because of a "whereabouts failure" during his doping test. Harley Gaber (June 5, 1943 – June 16, 2011) was a visual artist and composer known for his minimalist and spectral approaches to time and sound. With his emphasis on quiet sustained sonorities and textures, Gaber is counted among the early American minimalist composers, and considered to be a forerunner of drone and spectralism. His best known recorded composition, ''The Winds Rise in the North,'' has been called by musician Keith Fullerton Whitman "one of the holy grails of minimalism in music in the 20th century."
