Gōtarō Yoshimura
is a Japanese politician of People's New Party, formerly of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A politician is a person active in party politics, or a person holding or seeking an elected office in government. Politicians propose, support, reject and create laws that govern the land and by an extension of its people.
