Günter Krämer
Günter Krämer (born December 2, 1940) is a German stage director, especially for opera, and a theatre manager who has staged internationally. Career Born in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Krämer studied German language and literature and gained his first stage experience at the student theatre in Freiburg im Breisgau. He first worked as a grammar school teacher and began his theatre career as assistant director in Wiesbaden. In 1972 he staged Eugene O'Neill's ''A Touch of the Poet'' in Cologne. From 1973 to 1975 he was director at the Staatstheater Hannover. Sławomir Mrożek
Sławomir Mrożek (29 June 1930 – 15 August 2013) was a Polish dramatist, writer and cartoonist. Mrożek joined the Polish United Workers' Party during the reign of Stalinism in the People's Republic of Poland, and made a living as a political journalist. He began writing plays in the late 1950s. His theatrical works belong to the genre of absurdist fiction, intended to shock the audience with non-realistic elements, political and historic references, distortion, and parody. Tankred Dorst
Tankred Dorst (19 December 1925 – 1 June 2017) was a German playwright and storyteller. Dorst lived and worked in Munich. His farces, parables, one-act-plays and adaptations were inspired by the theatre of the absurd and the works of Ionesco, Giraudoux and Beckett. His monumental drama ''Merlin oder das wüste Land'', which was premiered in 1981 in Düsseldorf, has been compared to Goethe's ''Faust''. Some critics see it as the first major drama of the 1980s. In his tribute to Tankred Dorst on the occasion of the conferment of the Georg Büchner Prize in 1990, Georg Hensel remarked that Dorst's plays all have a direct connection to the present: "For 30 years Dorst's plays have responded to the great transformations. Gisela Stein (2 October 1935 – 4 May 2009) was a German actress. Biography Stein was born in Swinemünde (now ÅšwinoujÅ›cie, Poland) and educated at the Wiesbaden actors school. She began her stage career in Koblenz, Krefeld-Mönchengladbach and Essen with Erwin Piscator. In 1960 Stein moved to Berlin, where she worked for the next 19 years. Stein appeared also at the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Salzburg Festival. In 1980 she moved to Munich, where she stood at the Munich Kammerspiele until 2001.
