Górnik Wałbrzych (football)
Górnik Wałbrzych is a Polish men's football team based in Wałbrzych, in southwestern Poland, currently playing in the regional league, in the Wałbrzych group. History Górnik Wałbrzych was formed on 22 March 1946 by a group of sports enthusiasts from Lower Silesian Coal Mining Association. On March 31, 1946, the first meeting of the board took place, during which Major Bolesław Rudziński was elected the chairman of Górnik. In August 1946, Kazimierz Nabielec, who used to play for Pogoń Lwów, formed the Autonomous Football Federation in Wałbrzych. In 1947, first local football championship took place, with Górnik-Zamek, as the team was then called, finishing in the last position. In 1948, Górnik-Zamek merged with the team of Huta Karol, and in 1949, with Chrobry, Julia and Mieszko. Adrian Mrowiec
Adrian Mrowiec (born 1 December 1983) is a Polish professional football manager and player who is currently in charge of IV liga club Górnik Wałbrzych. He occasionally plays for Klasa B club Unia Bogaczowice. Career Hearts Mrowiec joined Hearts on loan from FBK Kaunas in 2008 as a holding midfielder. He made his debut against Falkirk in a 2–1 away defeat. Arka Gdynia In July 2009, he moved to Arka Gdynia in the Polish Ekstraklasa on a one-year loan. Return to Hearts Mrowiec returned to Hearts for a trial spell in 2010 and he subsequently signed a three-year contract. He left Hearts in May 2012 having not being offered a new contract. Germany On 18 May 2012, he joined German side RB Leipzig on a two-year contract. He was released by the club without making a league appearance and signed for Chemnitzer FC. Włodzimierz Ciołek
Włodzimierz Ciołek (born 24 March 1956) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He played for clubs such as Górnik Wałbrzych and Stal Mielec. In the 1983–84 season, when playing for Górnik, he became the top league scorer. He played for Poland national team, earning 29 caps and scoring four goals. Ciołek was a participant at the 1982 FIFA World Cup, where Poland won the third place. He scored a goal against Peru. Nowadays, Ciołek trains junior groups in Górnik Wałbrzych. Zagłębie Lubin S.A. () is a Polish professional association football, football club based in Lubin. Founded in 1945 as ''OMTUR Lubin'', the club competes in the Ekstraklasa. History The football team was founded in 1945 as OMTUR Lubin by local members of the ''Youth Organization of the Association of Workers’ Universities'' (''Organizacja Młodzieży Towarzystwa Uniwersytetów Robotniczych, OMTUR''). The team played matches on a pitch at Kościuszko Street. The games of OMTUR Lubin were very popular, attracting crowds of people.
