Génesis Reasco
Génesis Rosangela Reasco Valdez (born 18 July 1998) is an Ecuadorian freestyle wrestler. She won the gold medal in the women's 76kg event at the 2022 South American Games held in Asunción, Paraguay. She won the silver medal in her event at the 2022 Bolivarian Games held in Valledupar, Colombia. She is also a four-time medalist at the Pan American Wrestling Championships. Career Reasco competed in the women's 76kg event at the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru. In 2020, she competed at the Pan American Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Ottawa, Canada without qualifying for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She also failed to qualify for the Olympics at the World Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Sofia, Bulgaria. Amateur wrestling is a variant of wrestling practiced in collegiate, school, or other amateur level competitions. There are two international wrestling styles performed in the Olympic Games: freestyle and Greco-Roman. 2020 Pan American Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament
The 2020 Olympic Wrestling Pan American Qualification Tournament was the first regional qualifying tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics. The event was held from 13 to 15 March 2020, in Ottawa, Canada. Qualification summary A total of 36 athletes secured a spot in the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo. 2023 Pan American Games
The 2023 Pan American Games ( es, Juegos Panamericanos de 2023, links=no), officially the XIX Pan American Games and commonly known as Santiago 2023, is a forthcoming international multi-sport event governed by the Panam Sports Organization, scheduled to be held in Santiago, Chile from 20 October to 5 November 2023. 2022 World Wrestling Championships
The 2022 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held between 10 and 18 September 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. The UWW Bureau approved the candidature of Belgrade, Serbia as the host of the 2023 Senior World Championships. However, due to the restrictions on Russia for hosting World Championships in 2021–2022, Belgrade replaced the former city of Krasnoyarsk as the World Championships host for 2022. For 2023 the World Championships host will be reallocated to Russia. In addition, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been banned from 2022 World Championships.
