Gyula Petrikovics
Gyula Petrikovics (12 January 1943 – 28 June 2005) was a Hungarian sprint canoer who competed from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. At the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, he won a silver medal in the C-2 1000 m event. The ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships are an international event in canoe racing, one of two Summer Olympic sport events organized by the International Canoe Federation (the other being the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships). The 1968 Summer Olympics ( es, Juegos Olímpicos de Verano de 1968), officially known as the Games of the XIX Olympiad ( es, Juegos de la XIX Olimpiada) and commonly known as Mexico 1968 ( es, México 1968), were an international multi-sport event held from 12 to 27 October 1968 in Mexico City, Mexico.
