Gypsy (2019 Film)
''Gypsy'' is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language romantic road film written and directed by Raju Murugan. The film stars Jiiva, Natasha Singh, Lal Jose, and Sunny Wayne. This film marked the Tamil debut of actress Natasha Singh, director Lal Jose and actor Sunny Wayne. The film was produced by Ambeth Kumar under the banner of Olympia Movies. The film's soundtrack was composed by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography and editing were handled by Selvakumar S. K. and Raymond Derrick Crasta, respectively. After running into censorship troubles, the film was initially scheduled to release on 24 January 2020, but later pushed to 6 March 2020 release. The film had its theatrical release on 6 March 2020 after several delays and received mixed reviews from the critics mainly criticising the writing and screenplay. Raju Murugan
Raju Murugan is a writer, journalist turned filmmaker from Tiruvarur. His works include ''Vattiyum Muthalum'', ''Ondru'' and ''Gypsy'', all of which were published in ''Ananda Vikatan''. He made his directorial debut with ''Cuckoo (2014 film), Cuckoo'' (2014). His second film, ''Joker (2016 film), Joker'', was awarded the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil, Best Feature Film in Tamil award at the 64th National Film Awards. ''Gorilla'' is a 2019 Indian heist comedy film written and directed by Don Sandy. Siddharth Suryanarayan (born 17 April 1979), known mononymously as Siddharth, is an Indian actor who primarily works in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi language films. Apart from acting, he has also been involved in films as a screenwriter, producer and playback singer. He has also been featured in many advertisements. After completing his business management studies, Siddharth chose to work in film making and assisted Mani Ratnam, before going on to make an acting debut in S. Grace Banu is an Indian software engineer who is a Dalit and transgender activist. She was the first transgender person to be admitted to an engineering college in the state of Tamil Nadu. She lives in the Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu. Early life Banu was born and raised in Tuticorin district, Tamil Nadu. A Dalit, she says that from early in her schooldays she was not allowed to attend the regular hours of 9.30 am to 4 pm. Banu said she was in the eighth standard when she began to experience gender dysphoria. Other students were told that they would be punished if they interacted with her. This kind of untouchability, based on both her caste and gender identity, caused her to attempt suicide and give up on the idea of finishing school.
