At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, nine events in gymnastics were contested. The competitions were held from 10 August 1936 to 12 August 1936. Waldbühne
The Waldbühne (''Woodland Stage'' or ''Forest Stage'') is a theatre at Olympiapark Berlin in Berlin, Germany. It was designed by German architect Werner March in emulation of a Greek theatre and built between 1934 and 1936 as the Dietrich-Eckart-Freilichtbühne (Dietrich Eckart Open Air Theater), a Nazi Thingplatz, and opened in association with the 1936 Summer Olympics. Since World War II it has been used for a variety of events, including boxing matches, film showings and classical and rock concerts. It seats more than 22,000 people. The venue is located off Friedrich-Friesen-Allee just northeast of Glockenturmstraße. Nazi era The theatre was built as part of the Olympic complex on the request of Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. Heikki Savolainen (athlete)
Heikki Ilmari Savolainen (28 September 1907 – 29 November 1997) was a Finnish artistic gymnast. He competed in five consecutive Olympics from 1928 to 1952 and won at least one medal in each of them. In 1928, he won a bronze on pommel horse, which was the first-ever medal in gymnastics for Finland. Winning his last medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, he became the oldest gymnastics medalist, at 44 years old; he delivered the Olympic Oath in the opening ceremony of those games.IOC 1952 Summer Olympics

Mauri Nyberg-Noroma
Mauri Nyberg-Noroma (31 January 1908 in Vyborg – 23 December 1939 in Muolaa) was a Finnish gymnast. He won three Olympic medals for Finland. He took part in his first Olympics in 1928 in Amsterdam but did not medal. He came joint sixth after a fifth place in the rings and seventh on the pommel horse and parallel bars. The Finnish team came in fifth place in the team competition. In the next Olympics, in 1932, Finland took bronze in the team competition. Individually, Nyberg-Noroma failed to medal, but he came in fourth place in the parallel bars, 1.4 points behind his compatriot Heikki Savolainen, who took bronze. Overall, he came in ninth place. At the Olympics in Berlin in 1936, the Finns repeated their result from the previous Olympics and won bronze in the team competition. This time, Nyberg-Noroma came in 16th place overall.
