Gylne Ungdom
''Gylne ungdom'' (Golden Youth) is a Norwegian drama film from 1956. It was directed by Leif Sinding, who also wrote the screenplay. Plot The high school student Tom Polden does not have it easy at home. His mother lives in the memories of her husband, the lawyer Ernst Polden. Her hat shop is doing poorly, and her finances are meager. Tom constantly hears about his great father, and it therefore comes as a shock to him when one day he hears that his father shot himself because he had embezzled a substantial amount of money. At the same time, his mother is threatened with eviction from the apartment because she has not paid rent for several months. In his despondency, Tom break into a grocery store in desperation to obtain money. Then the web starts tightening around him. A cynical young boy gets Tom in his power, and against his will he is forced into theft, stealing from cottages, and brazen burglary. Leif Sinding
Leif Sinding (19 November 1895 – 13 May 1985) was a Norwegian film director and journalist. He worked for the newspapers ''Verdens Gang'', ''Aftenposten'', and ''Morgenbladet''. Among his silent films are ''Himmeluret'' from 1925, based on Gabriel Scott's comedy, and ''Fjeldeventyret'' from 1926. He directed the film ''Bra mennesker'' (1937), based on a play by Oskar Braaten, and the films ''De vergeløse'' (1939) and ''Tante Pose'' (1940), both based on novels by Gabriel Scott. In 1941 he directed the comedy '' Kjærlighet og vennskap''. During the German occupation of Norway Sinding collaborated with the Axis forces, was a member of Nasjonal Samling, and was sentenced to four years forced labour after the war. Joachim Calmeyer
Kåre Joachim Calmeyer (23 June 1931 – 26 December 2016) was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Oslo, and grew up in Horten and Tromsø. He was the brother of jazz musician Ola and journalist Bengt Calmeyer. He made his stage debut at Rogaland Teater in 1953 in the opera ''Don Pasquale''. He was employed at Rogaland Teater from 1956 to 1960, at Det Norske Teatret from 1960 to 1964, Nationaltheatret from 1964 to 1972, Den Nationale Scene from 1972 to 1978 and then in Nationaltheatret. Per Lillo-Stenberg (21 June 1928 – 27 March 2014) was a Norwegian actor. His best known roles are in the movies '' Olsenbanden gir seg aldri!'' (1981) and '' Olsenbandens siste stikk'' (1999). Berit Kullander (born March 23, 1938) is a Norwegians, Norwegian actress, dancer, and singer. Kullander performed in the Norwegian Opera Company's productions of the ballets ''Swan Lake'' and ''La Sylphide''. After that she danced at Chat Noir from 1954 to 1965. Ella Hval (born Ella Signe Quist Kristoffersen) (7 January 1904 – 17 December 1994) was a Norwegian actress. She was principally a stage actress and was also an instructor and teacher at the Nationaltheatret student school. Personal life Ella was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She was a daughter of Kristoffer Kristoffersen and Anne Marie Quist. In her younger days she was active within the labour movement, where she took part in the entertainment by playing amateur theatre. Here she met the poet Rudolf William Nilsen (1901–29), and they got married in 1924. In 1929, Nilsen died of tuberculosis after only five years of marriage. Egil Hjorth-Jenssen (18 April 1893 – 8 November 1969) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director, playwright, children's writer and translator. Personal life Hjorth-Jenssen was born in Fredrikshald as a son of editor Gunnar Olaves Jenssen (1843–1924) and Anna Marie Cecilie Hjorth (1867–1929), and married Rachel Råby (1900–1958) in 1921.
