Asamoah Gyan ( ; born 22 November 1985) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who last played as a striker for Legon Cities FC and is the former captain of the Ghanaian national team. Gyan began his career in 2003 with Ghanaian Premier League club Liberty Professionals scoring ten goals in sixteen matches then spent three seasons with Serie A club Udinese via two seasons loan at Modena netting on fifteen occasions in 53 league matches and at Udinese where he scored 11 times in 39 league matches. In 2008, Gyan joined Ligue 1 club Rennes, netting fourteen times in forty-eight league matches during two seasons. Baffour Gyan (born 2 July 1980) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Gyan was born in Accra. He played for Dynamo Moscow, FC Saturn and Czech side Slovan Liberec. After twelve years playing of playing football in Europe, he returned on 28 September 2009 back to his homeland Ghana and signed a three years contract with Asante Kotoko. International career Gyan was a regular for Ghana and was part of the squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Christian Gyan
Christian Atta Gyan (2 November 1978 – 29 December 2021) was a Ghanaian professional footballer who played as a defender. He was known primarily for his time at Feyenoord where he won the 1998–99 Eredivisie and the 2001–02 UEFA Cup. Club career Gyan was born in Tema, Ghana on 2 November 1978. Playing for Ghapoha, he signed for Feyenoord in 1996. During the following season he moved on loan to Excelsior. After only a couple of months Feyenoord recalled the defender, and he made his debut for Feyenoord that same season. Gyan remained with Feyenoord for the next eight seasons. He was mainly used as a substitute. Gyan did play the 2002 UEFA Cup Final against Borussia Dortmund. He replaced the suspended Brett Emerton in the starting eleven. With Gyan, Feyenoord went on to beat Dortmund 3–2. While at Feyenoord Gyan also won a Dutch League Championship and a Johan Cruijff Schaal. Gyan Evans (born c. 1960), who performs as Gyan (), is an Australian singer-songwriter and record producer. She began her musical career in the Sydney band Haiku before winning the 1986 grand final in the local version of the TV talent quest ''Star Search''. This led to a recording contract with Warner Music, which resulted in her October 1989 debut self-titled album. It peaked in the top 30 on the ARIA Albums Chart and provided "Wait", which reached the top 20 on the ARIA Singles Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 1990 she won the ARIA Award for Best New Talent. Gyan Singh (born Kohka in Umaria district, Madhya Pradesh) is an Indian politician from the state of Madhya Pradesh. He was first elected to Lok Sabha in 1996 General Election. He joined Praja Socialist Party in 1966. He was President of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh in 1980–81, and was elected to 7th Vidhan Sabha from Shahdol in 1980 on. He became Minister of State for Forests and later Minister of State for Jails under Sunder Lal Patwa from 1990 to 1993. Kiki Gyan
Kiki Gyan (7 June 1957 – 10 June 2004), also known as Kiki Djan, was a Ghanaian musician. He was the keyboardist of the band Osibisa which was popular in the 1970s. He also recorded and produced a series of disco records. He was a prodigy who could play the keyboard exceptionally well. Early life Born into a middle-class family in Takoradi, Ghana, Gyan started playing the piano when he was five years old and went professional at the age of 12. He dropped out of secondary school at 14 and after a tour of London with a local Ghanaian band called Pagadija; he joined the UK-based Afro-rock group Osibisa after his talent was recognized by the brother of the band's founder. He was only 15 years old when he started playing with Osibisa in 1972, replacing the keyboardist who had just left, and he travelled internationally with the band during the 1970s, playing to large audiences around the world.
