Gwambina Football Club is an association football club from Misungwi, Misungwi District Misungwi District is one of the seven Districts of Tanzania, districts of the Mwanza Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Nyamagana District and Magu District, to the east by Kwimba District, to the south by Shinyanga Rural, Shinyang ..., Mwanza Region in Tanzania. The club was founded when Arusha United was purchased and rebranded by the Manyara Regional Commissioner (RC), Alexander Mnyeti in May 2019. Gwambina won promotion to the Tanzanian Premier League in June 2020. Supporters Gwambina FC draws its fan base from the Misungwai district, the capital of the Mwanza region. Tanzanian First Division League
The Tanzanian Championship (formerly, Second Division League and "Ligi Daraja la Kwanza" in Swahili) is the second tier of league Association football, football in Tanzania. The league is made up of sixteen teams that play thirty rounds, home and away.The league was formed in 1930. The top two teams at the end of the season get promoted to the Tanzania Premier League, while the third and fourth go into a playoff with two last-placed teams not eligible for automatic relegation. The last two teams are relegated to the first division, while the last four teams go into a playoff. Misungwi
Misungwi or Missungwi or Isungwi is a Wards of Tanzania, ward in Misungwi District, Mwanza Region, Tanzania. It is the biggest town on the trunk road from Mwanza to Shinyanga. In 2016 the National Bureau of Statistics (Tanzania), Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 34,612 people in the ward, from 30,728 in 2012. Misungwi District
Misungwi District is one of the seven Districts of Tanzania, districts of the Mwanza Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Nyamagana District and Magu District, to the east by Kwimba District, to the south by Shinyanga Rural, Shinyanga Rural District and to the west by Nyang'hwale District and Lake Victoria. Misungwi is often spelled with an extra 's' to make it Missungwi. The administrative centre is in the town of Misungwi. As of 2012, the population of the Misungwi District was 351,607, of which 30,728 are living in an urban area (Misungwi, Misungwi town). Transport Paved trunk road T8 from Shinyanga to Mwanza passes through Misungwi district from south to north.
