Greater Toronto Area
The Greater Toronto Area, commonly referred to as the GTA, includes the City of Toronto and the regional municipalities of Durham, Halton, Peel, and York. In total, the region contains 25 urban, suburban, and rural municipalities. The Greater Toronto Area begins in Burlington in Halton Region, and extends along Lake Ontario past downtown Toronto eastward to Clarington in Durham Region. According to the 2021 census, the Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) of Toronto has a total population of 6,202,225. However, the Greater Toronto Area, which is an economic area defined by the Government of Ontario, includes communities which are not included in the CMA as defined by Statistics Canada. Extrapolating the data for all 25 communities in the Greater Toronto Area from the 2021 Census, the total population for the economic region included 6,712,341 people. Keysha Freshh (born June 28, 1993) born Keisha Fanfair, is a Canadian rapper and songwriter. Keysha is one-third of the hip-hop group The Sorority. Early life Keysha was born in Toronto, Ontario to Guyanese parents. Keysha attended high school in Ajax, Ontario, attending J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate and Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic High School. She completed college at Seneca College. Career Keysha had her first song published at age five, and began performing locally that same year. She started writing her own music and rapping at the age of 11. Maiko Watson
Sugar Jones was a Canadian all-female pop group created on the first season of the Canadian version of ''Popstars'' in 2001. It consisted of five members chosen from thousands of contestants who auditioned all over Canada in hopes of gaining a spot in the group. In 2001, they released their debut and only album, which was self-titled, in the summer of 2001, that featured the singles "Days Like That" (a cover of the Fierce song) and "How Much Longer", both gaining fair amount of airplay on Canadian Radio throughout 2001. Melinda Leanna Shankar (born February 18, 1992) is a Canadian actress. Karl Amani Wailoo (born March 6, 1978), better known by his stage name Saukrates (; "Socrates"), is a Canadian rapper, singer, and record producer. He is the co-founder of Capitol Hill Music, and lead singer of the hip-hop/ R&B group Big Black Lincoln. He is also a member of Redman's Gilla House collective. Shakira, Lady Caine, (née Baksh; born 23 February 1947) is a Guyanese people, Guyanese former actress and Model (person), fashion model. She is married to English actor Michael Caine. Early life Shakira was born on 23 February 1947 in British Guiana (present-day Guyana) to Muslim Indo-Guyanese, Indian parents. Her mother was a dressmaker, and she aspired to follow in her footsteps and became a fashion designer.
