Guy Gregg
Guy R. Gregg (born December 14, 1949, Brooklyn, New York) is an American Republican Party politician, who served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1992 to 2008, where he represented the 24th Legislative District. He was a candidate for the Republican nomination for United States Senator in 2002. Gregg served in the Assembly as Republican Conference Leader from 2004 to 2006, was the Majority Whip from 1998 to 1999 and the Assistant Majority Whip from 1996 to 1998. New Jersey General Assembly
The New Jersey General Assembly is the lower house of the New Jersey Legislature. Since the election of 1967 (1968 Session), the Assembly has consisted of 80 members. Two members are elected from each of New Jersey's 40 legislative districts for a term of two years, each representing districts with average populations of 232,225 (2020 figures), with deviation in each district not exceeding 3.21% above and below that average. To be eligible to run, a potential candidate must be at least 21 years of age, and must have lived in their district for at least one year prior to the election, and have lived in the state of New Jersey for two years. They also must be residents of their districts. Membership in the Assembly is considered a part-time job, and many members have employment in addition to their legislative work. James William Treffinger (born May 20, 1950) is an American lawyer and Republican Party politician who served as County Executive of Essex County, New Jersey from 1995 to 2003. He pleaded guilty to federal charges of obstruction of justice and mail fraud in 2003. Early life and legal career Treffinger was born James Padalino in Newark, New Jersey.
