Guts (Berserk)
is a fictional character and the protagonist from the manga '' Berserk'' by Kentaro Miura. Guts is a mercenary who travels from company to company and companionship to companionship. After meeting Griffith, Guts is defeated in battle by Griffith and is forced to join the Band of the Hawk as the latter proclaims he now "owns" him. The dynamic and turbulent relationship between Guts and Griffith, the leader of the Band of the Hawk, forms the primary focus of the manga. After the events of the Eclipse, during which he loses his left forearm and right eye, Guts seeks revenge on Griffith. The character has also appeared in the animated adaptations of ''Berserk'' as well as video games with multiple voice actors. Miura conceptualized Guts' character while they were an assistant to George Morikawa. Berserk (manga)
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a medieval Europe-inspired dark fantasy world, the story centers on the characters of Guts, a lone swordsman, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk". Miura premiered a prototype of ''Berserk'' in 1988. The series began the following year in the Hakusensha's now-defunct magazine ''Monthly Animal House'', which was replaced in 1992 by the semimonthly magazine '' Young Animal'', where ''Berserk'' has continued its publication. In the Old Norse written corpus, berserker were those who were said to have fought in a trance-like fury, a characteristic which later gave rise to the modern English word '' berserk'' (meaning "furiously violent or out of control"). was a Japanese manga artist in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, and best known for the creation of the ''Sukeban Deka'' franchise in 1979. History When Hakusensha published ''Sukeban Deka'' in 1979, Wada's work became very popular. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Buichi Terasawa. Set in the far future, the series tells the story of Cobra, who lives an adventurous life until his enemies begin to hunt him down. Cobra surgically alters his face and erases his own memory to hide from his foes and have a normal life. Eventually, he regains his memories and reunites with his former partner Lady Armaroid. Rutger Oelsen Hauer (; 23 January 1944 – 19 July 2019) was a Dutch actor. In 1999, he was named by the Dutch public as the Best Dutch Actor of the Century.
