Guting District
Guting District () was a district in Taipei, Taiwan, located in the southwestern part of Taipei. History The name “Guting” is derived from the ancient place name Ku-ting ( nan, Kóo-tîng). After Taihoku City was established in 1920, in 1922, the Japanese Colonial Government carried out the . There were 11 in the area of later Guting District: , , , , , , , , , and . In 1946, the Taiwan Province Administrative Official Public Ministry () made those villages incorporated as Guting District. In 1990, 16 districts in Taipei City were consolidated into the current 12 districts. National Museum Of History
The National Museum of History (NMH; ) is located in the Nanhai Academy in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. After the Republic of China government moved to Taiwan, the National Museum of History was the first museum to be established in Taiwan. History A "National Museum of Historical Artifacts and Fine Arts" was established in a Japanese architecture, Japanese style building near the Taipei Botanical Garden in 1955. It was renamed "National Museum of History" in 1956 and the building was renovated in a five-floor traditional Chinese Ming Dynasty, Ming and Qing palace style, with four floors for exhibition and staff offices, and one floor for storage. Taipei Botanical Garden
The Taipei Botanical Garden () is located in the Nanhai Academy on Nanhai Road in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. The Botanical Garden covers an area of about 15 hectares and includes over 1,500 plant species. History The Taipei Botanical Garden was originally established during Japanese rule in 1921, although the garden itself has been in existence since 1896. It is maintained by the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute. In 1930, there were 1,129 species in the garden, serving largely academic research and natural sciences. However, the garden was deserted during World War II. After the war, the garden was rearranged and new plants were introduced.
