Gustavo Wilches
Gustavo Wilches Tumbia (born 23 August 1962) is a Colombian former road cyclist. He notably won the Vuelta a Colombia and the Clásico RCN in 1990. He also rode in the 1988 and 1990 Vuelta a España. His brothers Pablo, Ricardo and Marcos were also cyclists. In 2001, Wilches was arrested and charged for attempting to smuggle 40 capsules of heroin through the El Dorado International Airport. Facatativá
Facatativá is a city and municipality in the Cundinamarca Department, located about 18 miles (31 km) northwest of Bogotá, Colombia and 2,586 meters above sea level. The city is known for its Archaeological Park Piedras del Tunjo (Rocks of the Tunjo Indian) and best known in Colombia as ''Piedras del Tunjo'' (literally, Rocks of Tunjo), although locals call it ''Piedras de Tunja'' (Rocks of Tunja). The Vuelta a Colombia (Spanish for ''Tour of Colombia'') is an annual cycling road race, run over many stages throughout different regions in Colombia and sometimes Venezuela and Ecuador during the first days of August. It is organized by the Colombian Cycling Federation, and was previously included in the UCI America Tour. History The first Vuelta a Colombia was held in 1951 as an idea of Englishman Donald W. Raskin and a few of his friends, emulating the European Tour de France. It was a 1,233 kilometers race which was divided in 10 stages which included three rest days.
