Gustavo Alfredo Leite Gusinky (born 28 February 1962) is a Paraguayan businessman and politician, currently serving as senator since 2023. Biography Leite studied Business Administration at the University of California, Irvine (Major in Finance, Minor in Economics) and also at the Chapman University; he obtained a Master in International Marketing at the Scottish Marketing School, University of Strathclyde, in 1988. Leite served as Planning Minister during the presidency of Raúl Cubas Grau (1998-1999). Colorado Party (Paraguay)
The National Republican Association – Colorado Party (Spanish: ''Asociación Nacional Republicana – Partido Colorado'', ANR-PC) is a right-wing political party in Paraguay, founded on 11 September 1887, by Bernardino Caballero. Horacio Manuel Cartes Jara (born 5 July 1956) is a Paraguayan businessman and politician who served as the president of Paraguay from 2013 to 2018. He is a member of the Colorado Party. Cartes owns about two dozen businesses in his Grupo Cartes conglomerate including tobacco, soft drinks, meat production, and banking. Raúl Cubas Grau
Raúl Alberto Cubas Grau (born August 23, 1943) is a Paraguayan politician who served as the President of Paraguay from 1998 until his resignation in 1999. Biography Cubas Grau studied Engineering at the National University of Asunción. He was a member of the Colorado Party. Prior to standing for election, he worked as an electrical engineer, and served as Minister of Finance of Paraguay for a brief period in April 1996 until he resigned. When the 1998 campaign began, army general Lino Oviedo named Cubas as his running mate. However, a few months before the election, Oviedo was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a 1996 coup and was disqualified.
