Gustavo Cascardo
Gustavo Cascardo de Assis (born 24 March 1997), known as Gustavo Cascardo, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a right back for Bulgarian club Arda Kardzhali. Career Born in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Cascardo joined Portuguesa's youth setup in 2006, aged nine. On 13 January 2015, after appearing in the year's Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, he was promoted to the main squad. After being included in the 28-man list for the year's Campeonato Paulista, Cascardo made his professional debut on 8 April, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 0–3 away loss against São Paulo. On 12 September 2015 Cascardo rescinded his contract, and moved to Atlético Paranaense. After returning to the youth setup, he was promoted to the main squad ahead of the 2017 season, and made his Série A debut on 25 June of that year by starting in a 4–1 home routing of Vitória. Mogi das Cruzes ( or ) is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, located within the metropolitan region of the state capital of the city of São Paulo. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. In professional sports, a free agent is a player who is eligible to sign with other clubs or franchises; i.e., not under contract to any specific team. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it is contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division.
