Upper Lachlan Shire is a local government area in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. Breadalbane, New South Wales
Breadalbane () is a small village located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia in Upper Lachlan Shire. It is located on the Lachlan River headwaters and not far from Goulburn. At the , Breadalbane had a population of 107. Overview Located in the region known natively as "Mulwarry" to the native Wiradjuri people, it was renamed to Breadalbane Plains by Lachlan Macquarie in 1820 (although there is a reference to a Mr. Chisolm naming the location after his home in Scotland). This little town is also located near and adjacent to the major Hume Highway which links Sydney to Melbourne via an inland route. Previously the highway used to go through the small town however it was bypassed in 1993 as part of the Cullerin Range Deviation of the Hume Highway. Wollondilly River
The Wollondilly River, an Australian perennial river that is part of the HawkesburyNepean catchment, is located in the Southern Tablelands and Southern Highlands regions of New South Wales. The river meanders from its western slopes near Crookwell, flowing south-east through Goulburn, turning north-east to near Bullio, flowing north-west to Barrallier, before finally heading north-easterly into its mouth at Lake Burragorang. Course and features The Wollondilly River was originally a tributary of the Warragamba River, and hence of the HawkesburyNepean catchment. Following the construction of the Warragamba Dam across the Warragamba River, today the river flows into Lake Burragorang, the major water supply for the Greater Sydney region. The Wollondilly River rises about east of Crookwell and initially flows south, impounded by Pejar Dam, to a point near Pomeroy. Gullen Range Wind Farm
Gullen Range Wind Farm is a wind farm in the locality of Gurrundah in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. It consists of 73 wind turbines and produces up to 165.5MW of electricity. It is owned by BJCE Australia and built and operated by Goldwind Australia. Gullen Range was BJCE Australia's first wind farm, when it bought the project in 2014. The wind farm consists of two different turbine models, both manufactured by Goldwind. There are 56 GRW100-2.5MW turbines with 100m rotor diameters on 80m towers (total height 130m) which generate 2.5MW of electricity. There are also 17 smaller GW82-1.5MW turbines with 82m rotor diameters on 85m towers (total height 126m) which produce 1.5MW of electricity.
