Gurmeet Singh (racewalker)
Gurmeet Singh (born 1 July 1985 in Uttarakhand, India) is an Indian athlete who competes in the 20 kilometres race walk event. He is a current Indian record holder in the 20 km race walk, which he set in the Indian Grand Prix I in Patiala in May 2011. Gurmeet is sponsored by the Mittal Champions Trust, an initiative run by steel magnate Lakshmi N. Mittal. He is one of the three Indian athletes who qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in 20 km race walk event with an 'A' qualification standard (1:22:30). He achieved this berth in the 18th Dublin International Grand Prix in Ireland after finishing sixth with a time of 1:22:05. In the event he clocked a time of 1:23:34 and finished 33rd. Gurmeet Singh Chahal (born 3 December 1999) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Indian Super League club NorthEast United. Club career NorthEast United FC Singh made his professional debut for Indian Super League side NorthEast United on 1 March 2019 against Kerala Blasters on the last matchday. He came on as a 71st minute substitute for injured Pawan Kumar as NorthEast United drew the match 0–0. He made his first start in a 2-1 loss against Chennaiyin FC in quarterfinals of Super Cup. On 11 June 2019, he extended his contract for another season. But he made no appearance in the season. Gurmit Singh Virk Chainchal Singh (born 24 March 1965; pa, ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, Gurmīt Siṅgh; ) is a Singaporean actor, comedian and television personality. He was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1994 to 2014. A former artiste of Mediacorp, he is best known for his role as the titular character Phua Chu Kang in ''Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd'', ''Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd'' and ''Phua Chu Kang The Movie'', for which he won the Asian Television Awards prize for Best Performance by an Actor (Comedy) five times, from 1998 to 2001 and in 2003 for the former.
