Guri (film)
''Guri'' is a 1986 Indian Kannada-language action film, directed by P. Vasu and produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar. The film stars Rajkumar, Archana and Jai Jagadish, with Pandari Bai in a guest appearance. The film has musical score by Rajan–Nagendra. This was director P. Vasu's second movie as independent director in any language. The film was remade in Tamil in 1991 by P. Vasu himself as '' Adhikari''. This was the last movie of Rajkumar which was remade in other language. Plot Customs Officer Kaliprasad is newly deputed and nabs a notorious gang of smugglers. While handing them over to police, he befriends the local police inspector. Living with his retired School Teacher father and young sister, he leads a contented life. His happiness doubles when the police inspector is engaged to his sister. However, Rudrayya, the corrupt mafia leader is irritated by Kaliprasad's efficiency. Parvathamma Rajkumar
Dr.Parvathamma Rajkumar (6 December 1939 – 31 May 2017) was an Indian film producer and distributor. She was the wife of veteran Kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar. She produced successful films featuring Rajkumar and their sons Shiva Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar under the production house named "Poornima Enterprises". Actresses who found fame in her productions include Malashri, Prema, Rakshita, Sudha Rani and Ramya. She was awarded a doctorate from Bangalore University. Amongst the awards she has received are the Phalke Academy award, Kannada Rajyotsava and a lifetime achievement award from the Government of Karnataka. By 2012, she had produced 80 films. She has spoken in defence of Kannadigas, regarding Karnataka's position in interstate water disputes and against infringement of the Kannada film industry's works. C. H. Loknath (14 August 1927 – 31 December 2018) was an Indian actor with more than 1000 Kannada plays and 650 films to his credit. Loknath is affectionately known as "Uncle Loknath" or "Uppinakayi" in the industry. His last performance was in a Star Suvarna Channel's TV series titled ''Priyadarshini''. Along with playback signing, she is known for her songs in Sugama Sangeetha, a light musical genre in Kannada. Her father R. K. Srikantan was a Carnatic classical musician. Thoogudeepa Srinivas
Mysore Srinivas (17 April 1943 – 16 October 1995), known by his stage name Thoogudeepa Srinivas was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films and is remembered for his portrayal of negative-shaded characters. He is the father of actor, Darshan and film director Dinakar. Early life Srinivas was born to Muniswami and Parvathamma in 1943 as their fourth son. He had eight siblings.
