Guo Pei
Guo Pei (, , born 1967) is a PRC Chinese fashion designer. She is best known for designing dresses for Chinese celebrities, and in America for Rihanna's trailing yellow gown at the 2015 Met Gala. Guo is the first born-and-raised Asian designer to be invited to become a guest member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. In 2016, ''Time'' listed her as one of the World's 100 Most Influential People. Early life and early start Guo was born in Beijing in 1967. Guo was born to two members of China's Communist Party, her father being a former battalion leader of the People's Army and her mother being a kindergarten teacher. In an interview with ''Forbes'' magazine, she recalls her father having thrown away her sketches and paintings as a child. Haidian District () is a district of the municipality of Beijing. Carmen Dell'Orefice (, ; born June 3, 1931) is an American supermodel and actress. She is known within the fashion industry for being the world's oldest working model as of the Spring/Summer 2012 season. China Fashion Week is an international fashion event held twice a year at various venues in Beijing, China. The event originated in 1997 and hosts professional contests, exhibitions, fashion forums and professional evaluations. The event showcases fashion collections from various designers, including ready-to-wear, accessories, styling and other new designs. The dates for Fashion Week, in March and October, are determined by the China Fashion Federation. China Fashion Week was previously called "First China Fashion Week". When it first began, China Fashion Week was less critical of the seasonal concept of the event. Song Zuying (; born August 13, 1966) is a Chinese classical/folk singer. Early life Song was born in Guzhang County, part of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan. She is of Miao ethnicity, and studied at the Department of Music and Dancing at the Central Institute for Nationalities in Beijing, after which she studied at the China Music College. China Radio International (CRI) is the state-owned international radio broadcaster of China. It is currently headquartered in the Babaoshan area of Beijing's Shijingshan District.
