Gunnar Rogstad
Gunnar Rogstad (9 March 1916 – 10 June 2012) was a Norwegian civil servant and diplomat. He was born in Fana as a son of Abraham Rogstad and Ragna née Habel. After finishing a mercantile school in 1934, he was a businessperson until 1942. Gunnar's brother Ole became a banker. In 1942, while Norway was occupied by Germany, Rogstad entered the Norwegian foreign service as a clerk at the consulate-general in Allied-occupied Iceland. He also married an Icelandic woman. After the war, Rogstad became a secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following an intermittent stay as vice consul in Cape Town from 1948 to 1952, Rogstad was promoted to head of department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1953. After a stint as councellor of trade at the Norwegian embassy in Bonn from 1956, he was promoted once more to subdirector in 1960, then deputy under-secretary of state in 1965. Einar Magnussen
Einar Magnussen (5 June 1931 – 27 March 2004) was a Norwegian economist and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Ålesund. In 1973, in the second cabinet Bratteli, Aune was appointed state secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Shipping. Between 1974 and 1976 he was acting Minister of Trade and Shipping. Outside politics he graduated as cand.oecon. in 1957 and worked the rest of that year as a secretary in Statistics Norway. Fana
Fana is a borough of the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. The borough makes up the southeastern part of the municipality of Bergen. The borough was once part of the historic municipality of Fana which was incorporated into Bergen in 1972. The old municipality was much larger than the present-day borough of Fana. It also included all of the present-day boroughs of Ytrebygda and Fyllingsdalen as well as the southern part of the present-day boroughs of Årstad.
