Gunnar Pettersen
Gunnar Atle Pettersen (born 30 July 1955) is a Norwegian former team handball player and a former head coach of the Norwegian national team. He was awarded the trophy Håndballstatuetten in 2000, and Gullknappen in 2009. Personal life and education Pettersen was born in Moss on 30 July 1955. He received his education from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Playing career Pettersen played for various clubs, including Herulf IL, Kolbotn IL, Fredensborg/Ski HK, Skiens BK, and Sandefjord HK. He won the Norwegian Men's Handball Cup with Fredensborg/Ski in 1981 and 1982. He was top scorer in the Norwegian top league Eliteserien five seasons, and was named player of the year in 1982. He played 132 matches and scored 445 goals for the Norway men's national handball team between 1978 and 1987. Moss, Norway
is a coastal town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Moss. The city of Moss was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt) and City in 1720. The rural municipality of Jeløy was merged with the city on 1 July 1943. The former municipality of Rygge was merged into it on January 1, 2020. Its administrative district covers areas east of the town, such as the island of Dillingøy in the lake Vansjø. Parts of the town are located on the peninsula of Jeløy. The city of Moss has 30,723 inhabitants (2012). Name The Old Norse form of the name was . 2009 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2009 World Men's Handball Championship (21st tournament) took place in Croatia from 16 January to 1 February, in the cities of Split, Zadar, Osijek, Varaždin, Poreč, Zagreb and Pula. Croatia was selected from a group of four potential hosts which included the Czech Republic, Greece and Romania. The opening game and ceremony were held in Split, and the final game was played in Zagreb. France won the tournament after defeating Croatia in the final. Poland took the third place after winning over Denmark. Tickets for the tournament went on sale from 15 to 20 November. For the finals, ticket prices started at 700 kuna (c. €95). To promote the tournament, the Croatian National Tourist Board launched a series of presentations in the capitals of 13 participating countries. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' ( no, Store Norske Leksikon, abbreviated ''SNL''), is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. The Montenegro national handball team represents Montenegro in international handball competitions. The national team was formed in 2006 shortly after Montenegro became independent. Montenegro played their first official match on 3 January 2007 in Vantaa and beat Finland (28:26). The 2008 EHF European Men's Handball Championship (8th tournament) was held in Norway from 17 to 27 January, in the cities of Bergen, Drammen, Lillehammer, Stavanger and Trondheim.
