Gunnar Mjånes
Gunnar Mjånes (17 April 1921 – 2 November 2002) was a Norwegian politician. He was elected deputy representative to the Storting for the periods 1965–1969 and 1969–1973 for the Christian Democratic Party. Stord
Stord is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sunnhordland. Stord is sometimes called "Norway in miniature" since it has such a variety of landscapes: coastline, fjords, forests, agricultural land, and mountain areas. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Leirvik, which is also the largest town in the municipality and the whole region of Sunnhordland. Leirvik was declared a town in 1997. Other population centres in the municipality include the large village of Sagvåg and the smaller villages of Litlabø and Grov. The municipality is the 316th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Stord is the 69th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 18,919. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". Christian Democratic Party (Norway)
The Christian Democratic Party ( nb, Kristelig Folkeparti, nn, Kristeleg Folkeparti, se, Risttalaš Álbmotbellodat, , KrF) is a Christian-democratic political party in Norway founded in 1933. The party is an observer member of the European People's Party (EPP). It currently holds three seats in the Parliament, having won 3.8% of the vote in the 2021 parliamentary election. The current leader of the party is Olaug Bollestad. The Christian Democrats' leader from 1983 to 1995, Kjell Magne Bondevik, was one of the most prominent political figures in modern Norway, serving as Prime Minister from 1997 to 2000 and 2001 to 2005. Under the old leadership of Bondevik and Valgerd Svarstad Haugland, the party was to some extent radicalized and moved towards the left. Bergfrid Fjose
Bergfrid Fjose (31 March 1915 – 13 May 2004) was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party. She was born in Ullensvang as the daughter of priest and politician Jon Mannsåker; her brother was the historian Dagfinn Mannsåker. She enrolled as a student in 1935, took the teacher's examination in 1938 and worked as a teacher at Valdres folk high school from 1938 to 1943. From 1943 to 1945 she was a refugee in Sweden due to the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. From 1947 to 1949 she worked in Kvam. She was elected to the municipal council there, serving from 1951 to 1952. She then worked in Voss from 1952 to 1957, and in Årdal from 1959 to 1967. She was member of Årdal municipal council from 1959 to 1963 and Fana municipal council from 1967 to 1971. From 1968 to 1969 she chaired the local party chapter.
