Guni Israeli
Guni Israeli ( he, גוני יזרעאלי; born 18 November 1984) is an Israeli professional basketball player who last played for Hapoel Galil Elyon of the Israeli National League. In 2007, he was the Israeli Premier League Assists Leader. Early years Israeli was born in Kibbutz Gvat, Israel. He played for Hapoel Emek Yizra'el (Jezreel Valley) youth team, he also played for Ort Leibovich, Netanya high-school team, together with Raviv Limonad and helped them to win the state championship. Professional career In 2005, Israeli signed with Hapoel Gilboa/Afula. In his second season with Afula, he was named Israeli League Rising Star. In 2007, he was the Israeli Premier League Assists Leader. On 18 June 2007, Israeli signed with Hapoel Holon for the 2007–08 season. Israeli helped Holon to win the 2008 Israeli League Championship. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the first tier Israeli Basketball Premier League, Israeli Premier League. League system The league contains 15 clubs that compete in a home-and-away Round-robin tournament, round-robin. At the end of the season, the top eight clubs advance to the play-offs. The first round is played on a best-of-three basis. The four winning clubs advance to two best-of-five playoffs, the winners of which are promoted to the Super League. Raviv Limonad ( he, רביב לימונד; born 26 August 1984) is an Israeli professional basketball player who last played for Ironi Nes Ziona of the Israeli Premier League. He is a 191 cm (6' 3") tall combo guard. High school career Limonad started playing basketball at Elitzur Natanya and high-school "Ort Yad Leybovich", with whom he won the Israeli high school championship in 2001. Professional career In 2003, Limonad started his professional career with Ironi Ramat Gan of the Israeli Super League. Netanya (also known as Natanya, he, נְתַנְיָה) is a city in the Northern Central District of Israel, and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain.
