Gund is a Canadian-owned manufacturer of plush stuffed animals. The company is based in Edison, New Jersey, and distributes throughout the United States and Canada as well as in Europe, Japan, Australia, and South America. Gund is currently run by third generation family owner Bruce Raiffe whose grandfather Jacob Swedlin purchased the company from the original founder (Adolph Gund) in 1925. Their slogan is “Gotta Getta Gund”. The company is best known for its line of Teddy bears, and holds or has held licensing agreements with companies such as Sesame Street, Peter Rabbit, Curious George, Studio Ghibli, Hello Kitty, PAW Patrol, and Toca Boca. Agnes Gund
Agnes Gund (born 1938) is an American philanthropist and arts patron, collector of modern and contemporary art, and arts education and social justice advocate. She is President Emerita and Life Trustee of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and Chairman of its International Council. She is a board member of MoMA PS1. In 1977, in response to New York City's fiscal crisis that led to budget cuts that virtually eliminated arts education in public schools, Gund founded Studio in a School, a nonprofit organization that engages professional artists as art instructors in public schools and community-based organizations to lead classes in drawing, printmaking, painting, collage, sculpture, and digital media, and to work with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to incorporate visual art into their school communities. Gordon Gund (born October 15, 1939) is an American businessman and professional sports owner. He is the CEO of Gund Investment Corporation. He is the former co-owner of the San Jose Sharks (National Hockey League) from 1992–2002, former principal owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers (National Basketball Association) from 1983–2005, and former principal owner of the Cleveland Rockers (Women's National Basketball Association) from 1997–2003. Gund lost his sight to retinitis pigmentosa and was a co-founder of ''Foundation Fighting Blindness.'' Graham Gund
Graham de Conde Gund is an American architect and the president of the Gund Partnership, an American architecture firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and founded by Gund in 1971. An heir to George Gund II, he is also a collector of contemporary art, whose collection has been widely exhibited and published. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Gund was educated at Westminster School (Connecticut), Kenyon College, and the Rhode Island School of Design. Gund graduated from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, with a Master of Architecture degree in 1968 and a Master of Urban Design degree in 1969. Gunde Anders Svan (born 12 January 1962) is a Swedish former cross-country skier and auto racing driver. During his cross-country skiing career he won a total of four gold, one silver and one bronze medals at the Winter Olympics. Svan won a total of seven golds (15 km - 1989; 30 km and 4 × 10 km relay - 1985, 1991; 50 km - 1985, 1989; and 4 × 10 km relay - 1987), three silvers (15 km, 50 km, 4 × 10 km relay (all 1991)), and one bronze (4 × 10 km relay - 1985) at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. Kanihama
Kanihama, formerly known as Gund Kawarhama, is a village situated on the Srinagar-Gulmarg road in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The Kani Shawls produced in the area were given a geographical indication status by the government of Jammu and Kashmir, making it illegal to sell shawls made outside of the Kanihama area as Kani shawls. Kanihama is surrounded by Narbal Block towards east, Magam Block towards west, Pattan Block towards north, Badgam Block towards South. This place is near the border of the Budgam and Baramulla district. Kanihama was given a status of handloom village by the government of Jammu and Kashmir as the village is primarily known for its handloom products like Pashmina Shawal, Kani Shawl, etc. all over the globe.
