Gulf Of Çandarlı
The Gulf of Çandarlı ( tr, Çandarlı Körfezi), known in antiquity as the Elaitic Gulf ( grc, Ὲλαϊτικὸς κόλπος), is a gulf on the Aegean Sea, with its inlet between the cities of Çandarlı and Foça. Aegean Sea
The Aegean Sea ; tr, Ege Denizi (Greek: Αιγαίο Πέλαγος: "Egéo Pélagos", Turkish: "Ege Denizi" or "Adalar Denizi") is an elongated embayment of the Mediterranean Sea between Europe and Asia. It is located between the Balkans and Anatolia, and covers an area of some 215,000 square kilometres. In the north, the Aegean is connected to the Marmara Sea and the Black Sea by the straits of the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus. The Aegean Islands are located within the sea and some bound it on its southern periphery, including Crete and Rhodes. The sea reaches a maximum depth of 2,639m to the west of Karpathos. Çandarlı
Çandarlı is a coastal township with own municipality within the district of Dikili in western Turkey's İzmir Province. It is a well-developed town and an important tourist resort. It is a fishing village, were a lot of daily life revolves around such, with many people having jobs surrounding the fishing industry, making nets, gutting and cooking the fish, not to forget the fisherman themselves. It has a small population in winter months of approximately 1000, but in summer the population nearly doubles with tourists - going all the way to about 2000, normally domestic tourists rather than international. Çandarlı is situated on the northern coast of the ( Gulf of Çandarlı) and opposite the important industrial center of Aliağa, another district center. Foça
Foça is a town and district in Turkey's İzmir Province, on the Aegean coast. The town of Foça is situated at about northwest of İzmir's city center. The district also has a township with its own municipality named Yenifoça (literally ''"New Foça"''), also along the shore and at a distance of from Foça proper. The Aeolians (; el, Αἰολεῖς) were one of the four major tribes in which Greeks divided themselves in the ancient period (along with the Achaeans, Dorians and Ionians)..
