Guldhjälmen
Guldhjälmen (''The Gold Helmet'') is a Swedish ice hockey award, which is awarded annually to the's most valuable player of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) as decided by a vote of each league’s players. First awarded in the SHL in 1986, the Guldhjälmen is sponsored by the Swedish hockey magazine ''Hockey'' in cooperation with Jofa. It is considered one of the most prestigious ice hockey prizes in Sweden. It is similar to the country's Viking Award, presented to the top Swede playing in North America as determined by player vote, and the NHL's Ted Lindsay Award, an MVP award also voted on by the players. It should not be confused with Guldpucken ''(Golden Puck)'', which is awarded by ''Expressen'' and the Swedish Ice Hockey Association to the Swedish Player of the Year. Håkan Loob
Håkan Per Loob (born 3 July 1960) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player for Färjestad BK of the Elitserien and the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the head of European Scouting for the Calgary Flames after resigning as president of Hockey Operations for Färjestad. Considered one of the greatest Swedish hockey players of all time, he was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Swedish ice hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. The Elitserien created the Håkan Loob Trophy, awarded to the league's top goal scorer, in his honour in 2005 and Färjestad has retired his jersey number 5. Loob joined Färjestad in 1979 and was a member of the team that won the Swedish championship in 1981. 2019–20 SDHL Season
The 2019-20 SDHL Season was the 13th season of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). The season began in September 2019 and ended in February 2020. The playoffs began a week after the end of the regular season, but the finals were cancelled due to the 2019–20 coronavirus outbreak. HV71 were regular season champions, and due to face Luleå HF/MSSK in the finals. Göteborg HC and Modo Hockey finished at the bottom of the table, but were able to avoid relegation to Damettan in the Playoffs to the SDHL. Brynäs IF defender Lara Stalder led the league in points with 71 and was named league MVP. The highest attended match of the season came on 24 November 2019, with 3622 spectators turning out to watch Linköping HC host Luleå HF/MSSK. Peter Forsberg
Peter Mattias Forsberg (; born 20 July 1973) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player and former assistant general manager of Modo Hockey. Nicknamed "Peter the Great" and "Foppa", Forsberg was known for his on-ice vision and physical play, and is considered one of the greatest players of all time. Although his career was shortened by persistent injuries, , he stands ninth all-time in career points-per-game and fifth all-time in career assists-per-game in the NHL, only behind Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Bobby Orr, and Connor McDavid. In 2017 Forsberg was named one of the ' 100 Greatest NHL Players' in history. Brynäs IF Dam
Brynäs IF Dam are an ice hockey team in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They play in Gävle, on the eastern-central coast of Sweden, at the Monitor ERP Arena. A constituent part of the Swedish sports club Brynäs IF, they are the sister team of Brynäs IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). History Between 2010 and 2013, the club advanced to the Riksserien playoff finals four seasons in a row, finishing in second place each time. Lara Stalder (born 15 May 1994) is a Swiss ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward and member of the Switzerland women's national ice hockey team, Swiss national ice hockey team, currently playing with Brynäs IF Dam of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). She played with the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs women's ice hockey team from 2013 to 2017, and with Linköping HC Dam, Linköping HC from 2017 to 2019. The 2020–21 SDHL season was the 14th season of the Swedish Women's Hockey League ( sv, Svenska damhockeyligan; SDHL). The season began on 12 September 2020 and concluded on 26 February 2021. All ten teams were able to complete a full 36-game regular season. The season marked the return to play for the SDHL after the 2019–20 season championship finals were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden. Kari Pekka Eloranta (born February 29, 1956) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey player who played over 20 years in numerous leagues throughout Europe and North America. HV71 (), often referred to as just HV, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Jönköping, playing in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the first tier of Swedish ice hockey. The team played in the 2008–09 Champions Hockey League season, and also participates in the new Champions Hockey League tournament since the 2014–15 season. Between 2008 and 2013, HV also participated in the European Trophy tournament. Bengt-Åke Gustafsson
Bengt-Åke Gustafsson (born 23 March 1958) is a Swedish ice hockey coach and former ice hockey player. Gustafsson is a former head coach of the Sweden men's national ice hockey team, a post he held from February 2005 to May 2010. During his North American career, including two games in the World Hockey Association then nine seasons in the National Hockey League with the Washington Capitals, he was often called ''Bengt Gustafsson'' or ''Gus''. The Swedish Hockey League (officially SHL; sv, Svenska Hockeyligan) is a professional ice hockey league, and the highest division in the Swedish ice hockey system. The league currently consists of 14 teams. The league was founded in 1975, and while Swedish ice hockey champions have been crowned through various formats since 1922, the title and the Le Mat Trophy have been awarded to the winner of the SHL playoffs since the league's inaugural 1975–76 season. Peter "Pekka" Lindmark (born 8 November 1956) is a Swedish former ice hockey goaltender. During his career he represented three teams in Elitserien: Timrå IK, Färjestads BK and Malmö Redhawks. He also had a successful international career, representing the Swedish National Team in several international tournaments, including the World Championships (where he won a gold medal in 1987), and the Canada Cup in 1981, 1984 and 1987.
