Gul Bukhari
Gul Bukhari is a British-Pakistani journalist and columnist. She has been residing in UK since December 2018. In June 2018, she was abducted for few hours by unknown personnel from Lahore's cantonment area, which has heavy army presence and security checks controlled by the military. A colleague of her alleged that uniformed men were present at her abduction. Early life and education Bukhari was born to a military family in 1966. Her father, Major General Rehmat Ali Shah Bukhari, was a Pakistan Army general and was decorated in 1971 for Battle of Bahawalnagar. Kidnappings In Pakistan
In criminal law, kidnapping is the unlawful confinement of a person against their will, often including transportation/asportation. The asportation and abduction element is typically but not necessarily conducted by means of force or fear: the perpetrator may use a weapon to force the victim into a vehicle, but it is still kidnapping if the victim is enticed to enter the vehicle willingly (e.g. in the belief that it is a taxicab). Kinnaird College
The Kinnaird College for Women (KCW) is a university located in Lahore, Pakistan. It is a women's liberal arts university. Kinnaird was established in 1913 by the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission. In 1919, Presbyterian Mission Church and the Church Mission Society joined a consortium to fund and operate the college. In 1926 it moved to its current campus on the Jail Road, where it grew over the years and by 1939 the college had grown into a campus. The college is named after Lady Mary Jane Kinnaird co-founder of YWCA and a great philanthropist of her time. The now university was established at the start of the 20th century when it was housed near Kinnaird High School.
