''Gujarat Samachar'' is a Gujarati-language daily newspaper published in India. Its headquarters are in Ahmedabad with a branch in Surat. It is distributed from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Mumbai, Mehsana, Bhuj and New York City. Bakul Tripathi
Bakul Tripathi (1928-2006) was a Gujarati humour essayist from Gujarat, India. Educated in commerce and law, he taught commerce in Ahmedabad. He wrote thousands of humour essays in columns in his 40 years long career. Life Bakul Padmamanishankar Tripathi was born on 27 November 1928 at Nadiad (now in Gujarat, India). He matriculated in 1944. He completed his B. Com. in 1948 and M. Com. in 1953. He completed LL.B. in 1953. He served as a professor of commerce in H L College of Commerce in Ahmedabad from 1953 to his retirement. He wrote humour columns in Gujarati daily, ''Gujarat Samachar'' titled ''Thoth Nishaliyo'' and ''Kakko ne Barakhadi'' which was the longest run regular column in any daily across India. Harshal Pushkarna was an executive editor and writer in Safari magazine. He is the son of Nagendra Vijay and grandson of Vijaygupta Maurya. Vinodini Ramanbhai Nilkanth (9 February 1907 – 29 September 1987) was a Gujarati writer, translator, and academic. She wrote novels, essays, short stories, journalist columns, and children's literature. Early life Vinodini Nilkanth was born in Ahmedabad, then part of the Bombay Presidency. Her father was Ramanbhai Nilkanth, a Gujarati novelist and politician. Her mother, Vidyagauri Nilkanth, was a social reformer and educator, and one of the first women in Gujarat to graduate from university.
