Sébastienne Guyot
Sébastienne Marie Henriette Guyot (26 April 1896 – 21 August 1941) was a French engineer who specialized in aerodynamic flying. She was born in Pont l'Abbé in the Finistère. A teacher, Guyot resigned in 1917 to prepare for the competition of the Ecole Centrale of the Paris Lycée Jules-Ferry when she learned that the school would accept girls into its ranks. She graduated in 1921 from the first class of Central School of Paris to accept women. She ranked 45th of 243 graduates (425 students were received in the contest). Also a top athlete, she participated in the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam in the 800 meters. She was also French Cross Country Champion in 1928. Sarah Guyot (born 16 April 1991 in Vannes, Morbihan) is a French sprint canoeist. Guyot is a member of Canoe Kayak Club Tours in Tours, and is coached and trained by Nicolas Maillot. She began to canoe when she was 10, following an elder brother who also canoed at that time. Guyot represented France at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she competed in the women's K-4 500 metres, along with her teammates Marie Delattre, Joanne Mayer, and Gabrielle Tuleu. Lawrence Guyot Jr. (July 17, 1939 – November 23, 2012) was an American civil rights activist and the director of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party in 1964. Biography Guyot was a native of Pass Christian, Mississippi, where he was raised Catholic. He joined the Freedom Movement in Mississippi in 1961, when he was a student at Tougaloo College in Mississippi. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry in 1963. Guyot also directed the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) project in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and later became director of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party via the 1963 Freedom Ballot of 80,000 participants and the Summer Project of 1964. Laurent Guyot (born 17 December 1969) is a French professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of club Annecy.
