Daniela Yael Krukower ( he, דניאלה קרוקובר; born 6 January 1975 in Colegiales, Buenos Aires) is a former judoka from Argentina. Biography Krukower was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to a Jewish family, and at an early age moved with her family to Israel where Daniela was introduced to Judo. In the mid 90' Israel judo had two promising female judoka, Einat Yaron and Daniela, both competing in the -63 category. The two girls were more rivals than they were friends. Daniela thought Yaron was favoured by the Israel Judo Association and since the IFJ limits each country to one participant in each category at the Olympic Games she decided to represent her birth country Argentina. She retired at beginning of 2009/10 season due to lack of motivation after winning gold at 2009 Pan American Judo Championships. These are the results of the women's 70 kg (also known as ''middleweight'') competition in judo at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. A total of 22 women qualified for this event, limited to jūdōka whose body weight was less than, or equal to, 70 kilograms. Competition took place in the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on 20 September. Competitors Main bracket The gold and silver medalists were determined by the final match of the main single-elimination bracket. Repechage The losing semifinalists as well as those judoka eliminated in earlier rounds by the four semifinalists of the main bracket advanced to the repechage. Boxing At The 2000 Summer Olympics – Light Middleweight
The men's light middleweight boxing competition at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney was held from 19 September to 1 October at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. This was also the last Olympic games for the light middleweight category in Olympic boxing. Competition format Like all Olympic boxing events, the competition was a straight single-elimination tournament. This event consisted of 28 boxers who have qualified for the competition through various qualifying tournaments held in 1999 and 2000. The competition began with a preliminary round on 19 September, where the number of competitors was reduced to 16, and concluded with the final on 1 October. As there were fewer than 32 boxers in the competition, a number of boxers received a bye through the preliminary round. Both semi-final losers were awarded bronze medals.
