Guillermo Ruiz Burguete
José Guillermo Ruiz Burguete (born 24 January 1976) is a Mexican gridiron football coach. He previously played in the NFL Europe with the Frankfurt Galaxy. Playing career College career Ruiz Burguete played college football for the Centinelas CGP in 1995 and 1996 and later for the Borregos Salvajes Monterrey from 1998 to 2000, receiving a scholarship to study at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, where he majored in Business Administration. During his college career, he won two National Championships in 1998 and 1999. NFL Europe In 2004, Ruiz Burguete was signed by the Frankfurt Galaxy of the NFL Europe. National team Ruiz Burguete was part of the Mexico national American football team that competed in the 1999 and 2003 IFAF World Championship, where he was included in the All-Star Team of the tournament. 2023 LFA Season
The 2023 LFA season is the eight season of operation (seventh season of play) of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional (LFA), the top American football league in Mexico. The regular season began on 4 March and will end on 14 May, with the playoffs beginning on 20 May and ending with the Tazón México VI, on 10 June in Chihuahua. Preseason events Expansion Three new teams joined the league for the 2023 season: Caudillos de Chihuahua (based in Chihuahua City), Jefes de Ciudad Juárez (based in Ciudad Juárez) and Reds de la Ciudad de México (based in Mexico City). The three teams were part of Fútbol Americano de México, but after the league folded in September 2022, they joined the LFA. The Mayas, also called Mayas LFA or Mayas Puebla, were an American football team based in Mexico City (CDMX), Mexico. The Mayas competed in the Central Division of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional, the top American football league in Mexico. The Mayas played their home games at the Estadio Wilfrido Massieu.
