Ben Guild
Bernard "Ben" Guild (1924–2003), was an authority on Alaska mushrooms and a supporter of the founding of Aniakchak National Monument and Preserve. World War II Ben was part of the Twelfth Air Force, 57th Air Division, 321st Bomb Group (see 321st Air Expeditionary Wing), 447th Squadron. He was shot down on 6 February 1945 on a mission to Rovereto Station to attack the rail bridge in Crema, Italy. The plane was called ''May Be'', and Guild was a radioman. Ben was captured and became a POW held by Germany in Stalag Luft III Sagan-Silesia Bavaria (Moved to Nuremberg-Langwasser Stalag XIII-D) 49-11. Henry Rice Guild (October 22, 1928 – April 22, 2019) was an American lawyer and director of the Pioneer Fund (1948–1974). Ken Guild
Ken Guild was a Scottish National Party politician and a councillor on Dundee City Council for The Ferry ward. He was the leader of the Scottish National Party group on the Council and up until May 2017 held the position of Leader of the Council. He was first elected in the 2007 Scottish local elections, topping the poll in the ward with 2,400 first preferences. On this occasion he failed to bring in a running mate with him but was elected Leader of the Opposition. In June 2009 the SNP won a by-election in the Maryfield ward at the expense of the Scottish Labour Party. With the support of former Labour member John Letford, the SNP were able to form an administration to run the Council. Ken Guild was elected Council Leader at this time. Shirin Guild (; née Shirin Zafar; born 1946) is an Iranian-born British fashion designer. Her fashion label was established in London, in 1991. Her clothing design is minimalist and she has reworked Iranian clothing traditions through a "reductionist aesthetic". Her design work has been described as "trans-cultural". Early life and education Shirin Guild was born in 1946 and grew up in Iran. Prior to the 1979 revolution, she moved to Los Angeles where she remained during the early 1980s.
