Guido Guidi (photographer)
Guido Guidi (born January 1, 1941) is an Italian photographer. His work, spanning over more than 40 years, has focused in particular on rural and suburban geographies in Italy and Europe. He photographs places that are normally overlooked. His published works include ''In Between Cities,'' ''Guardando a Est,'' ''A New Map of Italy'' and ''Veramente.'' Life and work Guidi was born in Cesena, Italy. He enrolled in 1959 at IUAV and then at the School of Advanced Studies in Industrial Design in Venice. He followed, among other courses, the ones offered by Bruno Zevi, Carlo Scarpa, Luigi Veronesi, and Italo Zannier. He started taking pictures in 1956 and continuously in 1966. Since 1989 he has taught Photography at Accademia di Belle Arti in Ravenna and he is part of the scientific committee for the project "Linea di Confine" (Rubiera, RE). Giovanni Francesco Guidi di Bagno (1578–1641) (also known as Gian Francesco Guidi di Bagno, Gianfrancesco Guidi di Bagno, Giovanni Francesco Bagni or Gianfrancesco de' Conti Guidi di Bagno) was an Italian cardinal, brother of cardinal Nicola Guidi di Bagno and nephew of cardinal Girolamo Colonna. Carlo Alessandro Guidi
Carlo Alessandro Guidi (14 June 1650 – 12 June 1712), Italian lyric poet, was born at Pavia. Biography As chief founder of the well-known Roman Academy of the Arcadians, he had a considerable share in the reform of Italian poetry, which at that time was dominated by the baroque extravagance of the poets Giambattista Marini and Claudio Achillini and their school. Guidi, Giovanni Mario Crescimbeni, and the critic and jurisconsult Gravina attempted to foster a straightfoward use of language. The genius of Guidi was lyric in the highest degree; his songs are written with singular force, and charm the reader, in spite of touches of bombast. Jennifer Guidi (born 1972) is an American painter. Early life and education Guidi was raised throughout Southern California, as her family moved between Manhattan Beach and Orange County prior to settling in Palm Desert. Although neither of her parents had a background in visual art, she showed an early interest and began taking art classes in a local storefront, deciding by her freshman year of high school that she wanted to attend art school. Guidi enrolled at Boston University, where she received a formal education in painting and printmaking that privileged traditional techniques and representations of the human body. As a result, Guidi primarily painted portraits, both of herself and of friends. Guido Buffarini Guidi
Guido Buffarini Guidi (17 August 1895 – 10 July 1945) was an Italian army officer and politician, executed for war crimes in 1945. Biography Buffarini Guidi was born in Pisa in 1895. When Italy entered World War I, he volunteered in an artillery regiment. He was promoted to rank of captain in 1917, and remained on active duty in the Italian Army until 1923 – in the meantime, he earned his bachelor's degree in law from the University of Pisa in March 1920. After leaving the army, with the rank of lieutenant colonel, he became active in Fascist circles, and joined the National Fascist Party (PNF). A mayor of Pisa in April 1923, Buffarini Guidi headed the local Party hierarchy from 1924 (his notoriety being increased by his career as a lawyer). Juan Héctor Guidi
Juan Héctor Guidi (14 July 1930 – 8 February 1973) was an Argentine football midfielder. He played most of his career with Club Atlético Lanús he also made 37 appearances for the Argentina national team. Club career Guidi, born in the city of Piñeiro, Avellaneda, started his career with local club Unidos de Piñeiro, before joining Lanús in 1949. In 1950 he helped the team to win the Argentine 2nd Division in 1950. Guidi had a spell with Club Atlético Independiente but he never achieved the level of play that he had at Lanús. Guidi rejoined Lanús helping them to win the 2nd division title in 1964. Guidi retired from football in 1966. Antonio Guidi (28 October 1927 – 17 October 2013) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Ferrara, Guidi began a career of acting in the 1950s. Guido Guidi is an Italian comic book artist and penciller. He is best known for his work on Transformers comics. Dreamwave Productions A longtime Transformers fan, Guidi was brought in by Dreamwave Productions to be artist for their '' Transformers: Armada'' comic, doing issues #8-13 and returning for #18 after a four issue run by Don Figueroa. Nicola Guidi di Bagno or Nicolò Guidi di Bagno (Mantua, Italy, 1583) was a titular archbishop of Atenia, bishop of Senigallia, and a cardinal. He descended from a noble family. Peter Guidi (14 September 1949 – 17 April 2018) was a jazz saxophonist and jazz flutist whose main instruments were the flute, alto and bass flute, alto and soprano saxophones.
