Gugudan
Gugudan (), also stylized as gu9udan or gx9, was a South Korean girl group formed in 2016 by Jellyfish Entertainment and the company's first girl group. The group debuted on June 28, 2016, with their EP '' Act. 1 The Little Mermaid''. The group was composed of eight members: Mimi, Hana, Haebin, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally, Soyee and Mina. Originally a nine-piece group, Hyeyeon left the group in October 2018. Following two years with no group activities, Gugudan disbanded on December 31, 2020. History Pre-debut In January 2016, Nayoung, Sejeong and Mina were introduced as Jellyfish Entertainment's first female trainees on the Mnet survival show, ''Produce 101'', where 101 female trainees from various companies competed to debut in an eleven-member girl group that would promote for a year under YMC Entertainment. Kim Se-jeong (; born August 28, 1996), known mononymously as Sejeong, is a South Korean singer and actress. She finished second in Mnet's girl group survival show ''Produce 101'', becoming a member of the project girl group I.O.I. She was also a member of Jellyfish Entertainment's girl group Gugudan. She is currently active as a solo artist and actress, best known for her lead roles in the television series ''School 2017'' (2017), ''The Uncanny Counter'' (2020–2021), and ''Business Proposal'' (2022). Early life and education Kim Se-jeong was born on August 28, 1996, in Gimje, North Jeolla Province, but moved to Anyang, Gyeonggi where she stayed with her mother and older brother at her aunt's house. Kang Mi-na (; born December 4, 1999), known mononymously as Mina, is a South Korean singer, rapper and actress signed under Jellyfish Entertainment. She is best known for finishing ninth in Mnet's K-pop girl group survival show ''Produce 101''. She is a former member of the girl groups I.O.I and Gugudan, as well as its subgroups 5959 and SeMiNa. Liu Xiening
Liu Xiening (, ), also known by her English name Sally Liu or simply Sally, is a Chinese actress, singer and dancer. She is a former member of South Korean girl group Gugudan. She achieved recognition in China after finishing sixth in the survival show ''Produce Camp 2020'', where she became a member of girl group BonBon Girls 303 for two years. Following the group's disbandment in July 2022, Liu is currently active as an actress. Early life Liu was born in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China on October 23, 1996. She attended Beijing Contemporary Dance Academy with the hope of becoming a dancer or member of a dance group.
