Guerra Revolucionaria (2015)
The Guerra Revolucionaria (2015) ( Spanish for "Revolutionary War") show was a major professional wrestling event produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on May 17, 2015, in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The main event of the show was a 20-man Battle Royal where the eliminated wrestlers would all remain at ringside and act as "Lumberjacks" to ensure none of the participants left the ring. Each lumberjack would be given a leather straps they were allowed to use on the still-active competitors. There was no official prize for winning the match other than the increased public profile of the winning wrestler. International Wrestling Revolution Group
International Wrestling Revolution Group (Grupo Internacional Revolución in Spanish; the Spanish name is used for the promotion while the English initials are used for the title governing body) is a Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. Founded in 1996 by Adolfo Moreno and since Moreno's death in late 2007 has been controlled by his sons Alfredo and Marco Moreno. IWRG has its own championships but like many Mexican promotions recognize champions from other promotions, occasionally allowing them to defend those titles on IWRG shows. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects. "The role of a heel is to get 'heat,' which means spurring the crowd to obstreperous hatred, and generally involves cheating and pretty much any other manner of socially unacceptable behavior that will get the job done." The Headhunters were a professional wrestling tag team that consists of American twin brothers Manuel and Victor Santiago (born August 11, 1968, in New York, New York, USA), best known by the respective ring names, Headhunter A and Headhunter B, although they were announced as Mofat and Mahim (spellings uncertain) during their appearances in ECW. ''La Isla'' ( Spanish for "The Island") was a major professional wrestling event produced and scripted by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on August 31, 2014 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The name ''La Isla'' is taken from a Mexican reality TV show also called ''La Isla'', a show similar to ''Survivor''. The main event of the show was a special eight-man ladder match where the story-line prize was a bag full of 50,000 Mexican pesos ($3815). Ladder Match
A ladder match is a type of match in professional wrestling, most commonly one in which an item (usually a title belt) is hung above the ring, and the winner is the contestant who climbs a ladder and retrieves the item. The IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship (''Campeon Intercontinental Peso Completo IWRG'' in Spanish) is a singles Championship in the Mexican ''lucha libre'' (Professional wrestling) promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and was introduced in 1997. IWRG Rey Del Ring
The IWRG Rey del Ring ( Spanish for "King of the Ring") refers both to an annual tournament and a professional wrestling championship promoted by the Mexican Lucha libre professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). From 2002 until 2011 the IWRG ''Rey del Ring'' only referred to an annual 30-man tournament, but as of the 2011 tournament there is also a physical championship belt that is and can be defended throughout the year. As it is a professional wrestling championship, the championship was not won not by actual competition, but by a scripted ending to a match determined by the bookers and match makers. José Luis Rodríguez Arellano (born February 21, 1951) is a Mexican ''Luchador Enmascarado'' (masked professional wrestler) who wrestles under the ring name Dos Caras (Spanish for "two faces"). His most active years were in the 1970s and 1980s, and he achieved his greatest success in Mexico's Universal Wrestling Alliance (UWA), where he won the UWA World Heavyweight Championship three times. Jesús Reyes González (born 10 March 1958) is a Mexican ''Luchador'', or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Máscara Año 2000 or Máscara Año Dos Mil.
