Guerra del Golfo (September 2009) (Spanish for "Gulf War") was a major annual professional wrestling event produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on September 16, 2009 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The annual ''Guerra del Golfo'' main event consists of three matches in total, with two "qualifying matches", multi-man steel cage matches where the last person left in the cage advances to the main event of the night. The two losers would then be forced to wrestle inside the steel cage, with the loser of that match being forced to either take off their wrestling mask or have their hair shaved off under ''Lucha de Apuestas'', or "Bet match" rules, if they are unmasked. International Wrestling Revolution Group
International Wrestling Revolution Group (Grupo Internacional Revolución in Spanish; the Spanish name is used for the promotion while the English initials are used for the title governing body) is a Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. Founded in 1996 by Adolfo Moreno and since Moreno's death in late 2007 has been controlled by his sons Alfredo and Marco Moreno. IWRG has its own championships but like many Mexican promotions recognize champions from other promotions, occasionally allowing them to defend those titles on IWRG shows. In recent times the company has become a more direct competitor to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion (AAA), acquiring a national television deal with TV Azteca and using a number of talent that have left CMLL or AAA to bolster their ranks and profile. IWRG El Castillo Del Terror
El Castillo del Terror is a professional wrestling event produced and scripted annually by the '' lucha Libre'' promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). The event was established in 2000 and is held in November each year in Arena Naucalpan, IWRG's main arena in Naucalpan, State of Mexico. The annual show features the eponymous main event match; a multi-man Steel Cage Match where the last man in the cage is forced to unmask under ''Luchas de Apuestas'', or "Bet rules". In rival Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) the match is referred to as ''Infierno en el Ring'', but is the same concept. ''Eragon'' is the first book in '' The Inheritance Cycle'' by American fantasy writer Christopher Paolini. Paolini, born in 1983, began writing the novel after graduating from home school at the age of fifteen. After writing the first draft for a year, Paolini spent a second year rewriting and fleshing out the story and characters. His parents saw the final manuscript and in 2001 decided to self-publish ''Eragon;'' Paolini spent a year traveling around the United States promoting the novel. The book was discovered by novelist Carl Hiaasen, who brought it to the attention of Alfred A. Knopf. The re-published version was released on August 26, 2003. Oficial Rayan (born January 9, 1987) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler, who is working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). He was part of the ''Los Oficiales Elite'' group alongside Oficial Factor and Oficial Spartan. Rayan's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. Mario Pardo Villagómez (born February 14, 1984) is a Mexican ''luchador'', best known under the ring name Oficial AK-47. As Oficial AK-47 he is part of a group called ''Los Oficiales'' that has worked for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) since 2007. The team held the record for the longest reigning Distrito Federal Trios Champions and are the most successful holders of the IWRG Intercontinental Trios Championship, holding it longer than any other trios team and having defended it more times than any previous champions have. AK-47 is also a former one-time IWRG Intercontinental Middleweight Champion. He previously worked as the ''enmascarado characters'' Sureño de la Muerte and Black Stone. Los Oficiales (Spanish for "The Officials") was a Mexican professional wrestling group, called a stable. Los Oficiales was originally created in AAA. Los Oficiales Version 1 The original Los Oficiales group was a concept created by AAA owner Antonio Peña that was unveiled in 1996. Los Oficiales initially consisted of Guardia, Oficial and Vigilante, three wrestlers dressed as motorcycle police, complete with nightsticks and motorcycle helmets that the trio used to cheat during matches. The characters were very clearly inspired by the World Wrestling Federation character "The Big Boss Man", played by Ray Traylor (at time, Traylor was competing in WCW with his own name and wouldn't have resumed the Bossman identity until 1998). ''Los Arlequíns'' (Spanish for "The Harlequins") was a Mexican professional wrestling group, called a stable, who worked as a ''rudo'' (term used for wrestlers who portray the "Bad guys") faction. All members of the group started out as masked wrestlers, but several members lost their masks before the group was disbanded. History Los Arlequíns was a wrestling "concept" team, similar to the concept of a boy band, where several wrestlers are joined up and given a common ring identity; in this case all members of the group were based on the Harlequin character. Oficial Spartan is the current ring name of Victor Manuel Montés (born July 29, 1975 in Guerrero, Mexico), who is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). Montés previously worked under a number of other ring names including Omega and Arlequín Rojo, but they are not publicly acknowledged as the ''enmascarado'' character is promoted as a separate entity from Montés' previous characters as is often the case when a Mexican wrestler adopts a new masked character. Face (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy" or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans, and acts as a protagonist to the heels, who are the villainous antagonist or "bad guy" characters. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects. "The role of a heel is to get 'heat,' which means spurring the crowd to obstreperous hatred, and generally involves cheating and pretty much any other manner of socially unacceptable behavior that will get the job done."
