Guendalina Sartori
Guendalina Sartori (born 8 August 1988) is an Italian archer. A gold medalist at the World Archery Championships, European Games and the Mediterranean Games, she competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing in fourth in the women's team event. Early and personal life Guendalina Sartori was born on 8 August 1988 in Monselice in the northern Italian province of Padua. She is a member of the Italian Air Force. Following her fourth-placed finish at the 2016 Olympics with Lucilla Boari and Claudia Mandia, the publication of a story in Italian newspaper ''QS Quotidiano Sportivo'' in which the trio were described as "chubby" ignited controversy in Italy which led to the dismissal of the newspaper's editor. Natalia Valeeva
Natalia Valeeva (born 15 November 1969 in Tîrnauca, Transnistria) is a naturalized Italian archer. She is a five-time Olympian and former world number one, and a native of Moldova, having represented the Unified Team, Moldova and Italy, at the Olympic Games of 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012. She won the individual and team bronze medals in the 1992 Olympic Games. Personal life Valeeva is the mother of twins, and is married to an Italian native (Roberto Cocchi). Deepika Kumari
Deepika Kumari (born 13 June 1994) is an Indian professional archer. Currently ranked the World No. 2, she competes in the event of archery. She won a gold medal in the 2010 Commonwealth games in the women's individual recurve event. She also won a gold medal in the same competition in the women's team recurve event along with Dola Banerjee and Bombayala Devi. She has won individual gold in two of the three stages of the World Cup--one in Guatemala and another in Paris. In the process she also reclaimed the number one ranking after nine years in Paris World Cup. Deepika Kumari won individual gold medals at the Archery World Cup Stage 1. Deepika Kumari also defeated Mexico by 5–1 in the final to win gold in Paris. Carolina Aguirre Giraldo (born 29 January 1996) is a Colombian recurve archer who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The women's individual archery event at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held from 5 to 13 August at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. One of four archery events as part of the 2016 Olympic catalogue of sports, it was the fourteenth time a women's individual competition was contested as a discipline at the Olympic Games. 2016 Archery World Cup
The 2016 Archery World Cup is the 11th edition of the international archery circuit organised annually by the World Archery Federation. The preliminary stage consisted of three legs instead of the usual four, to make room for the Olympic archery tournament. The third leg was also the final Olympic qualification event. Competition rules and scoring The compound legs consisted of a 50 m qualification round of 72 arrows, followed by the compound round at 50 m on a 6-zone target face, using cumulative scoring for all individual, team and mixed competitions. The top seven individual performers (with no more than two from each country,) plus one host nation representative if not already qualified, proceeded to the finals; the top mixed team performer proceeded to face the host nation at the finals, which were the same competition format as the legs. Elena Tonetta (born 8 June 1988 in Rovereto) is an Italian archer. In 2005, she was the Junior European Champion, winning at Silkeborg (Denmark). She won the second place in the final of the Junior World Cup, at Mérida (Mexico) in 2006. A year later she won the Italian National Championship in Castenaso and in 2008 she got the bronze medal in the individual game at the European XI European and Mediterranean Indoor Archery Championships. 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Tonetta finished her ranking round with a total of 595 points.
