Musarrat Nazir Khawaja ( ur, ; born 13 October 1937) is a Pakistani singer and film actress, who acted in many Urdu and Punjabi films. She, many years later, also sang solo, mostly wedding and folk songs. Early life Her parents were a Punjabi middle-class family Kashmiri origin from Lahore. Her father Khwaja Nazir Ahmed, worked as a registered contractor in Lahore Municipal corporation. Early in her life, her parents wanted her to be a doctor, and provided her with the best possible education they could afford. Musarrat passed the matriculation examination (10th grade) with distinction and passed the intermediate examination (12th grade) from Kinnaird College in Lahore. Sabira Begum better known as Asha Posley ( Punjabi, ur, ) (1927 – 25 March 1998) was the first heroine of Pakistani films. Early life Asha Posley was born as Sabira Begum in Patiala, Punjab, British India in 1927. Asha Posley was the daughter of music composer Inayat Ali Nath, who worked with HMV in Delhi, and the sister of renowned film playback singer Kausar Parveen and another sister Rani Kiran. Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash (also known as Agha Talish, ur, ) (13 November 1923 – 19 February 1998) was a Pakistani actor who made his debut in 1947 and was mostly known and recognized in Pakistan for playing character actor or villain roles. Talish was honoured by a Pride of Performance award, by the Government of Pakistan in 1989. Life and career Talish was born in Ludhiana, British India in 1923. Ghulam Ahmed Chishti ( Punjabi, ur, ), (often abbreviated to G.A. Chishti) ( Punjabi, ur, ), (17 August 1905 – 25 December 1994) was a Pakistani music composer, attributed as being one of the founders of Indian and Pakistani film music. Nazim Panipati (1920 – 18 June 1998) was a film song lyricist and a film script writer of Indian and Pakistani film Industry during the 1940s and 1950s. He was born in 1920 in Lahore.
