Guddada Bhootha (1991) is a thriller, Indian television mini-series which has a suspense storyline based on a Tulu drama shows the country life of Tulu Nadu region of India. The art and technical direction of the series was done by popular Kannada filmmaker Girish Kasaravalli. It had Prakash Raj as the lead actor. The serial consists of 13 episodes and it was re-telecasted in Zee Kannada in the year 2014. The series was applauded for its advanced technical values during that time. Girish Kasaravalli
Girish Kasaravalli (born 3 December 1950) is an Indian film director, in the Kannada cinema, and one of the pioneers of the Parallel Cinema. Known internationally for his works, Kasaravalli has garnered fourteen National Film Awards, including four Best Feature Films; ''Ghatashraddha'' (1977), '' Tabarana Kathe'' (1986), ''Thaayi Saheba'' (1997) and ''Dweepa'' (2002). Kannada cinema, also known as Sandalwood, or Chandanavana, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Kannada language widely spoken in the state of Karnataka.
