The Guariba State Park ( pt, Parque Estadual do Guariba) is a State park in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. Location The Guariba State Park is in the municipality of Novo Aripuanã in the state of Amazonas. It has an area of . It is bounded to the south with the border with Mato Grosso and adjoins the Guariba-Roosevelt Extractive Reserve in Mato Grosso. The Roosevelt River forms its western border. To the west and north it is bounded by the Manicoré State Forest. To the east it adjoins the Guariba Extractive Reserve. History The Guariba State Park was created by state governor decree 24805 of 19 January 2005 with the objective of preserving natural ecosystems of great ecological relevance and scenic beauty, supporting scientific research and developing education, environmental interpretation, recreation in contact with nature and eco-tourism. Novo Aripuanã
Novo Aripuanã is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Amazonas. History The region was originally inhabited by the Toras, Barés, Muras, Urupás, Araras and other indigenous peoples. The first records of European penetration to the Madeira River are from 1637, when Pedro Teixeira travelled from Belém to Quito in Ecuador. The municipality of Novo Aripuanã was created by state law 96 of 19 December 1955 from parts of the municipalities of Borba and Manicoré. It contained the district of Foz do Aripuanã with the sub-districts of Alvorada, Manicorezinho and Itapinima, and the district of Sumaúma with the sub-districts of Alvorada, Manicorezinho and Itapinima. The ''Bararati Sustainable Development Reserve ( pt, Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustentável Bararati) is a sustainable development reserve in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. It is on the left (west) bank of the Juruena River, which forms the boundary between Amazonas and Mato Grosso, above the point where that river is joined by the Teles Pires River to form the Tapajós. Rondônia () is one of the 26 states of Brazil, located in the northern subdivision of the country (central-western part).
